Z\u00e1ber vznikol zo zlo\u017een\u00fdch sn\u00edmok sondy Magellan.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Povrch Venu\u0161e<\/strong> nie je mo\u017en\u00e9 pozorova\u0165 priamo, preto\u017ee cel\u00fa plan\u00e9tu obklopuje neprieh\u013eadn\u00e1 vrstva mrakov. Jeho zmapovanie sa uskuto\u010dnilo a\u017e prostredn\u00edctvom r\u00e1diov\u00fdch sign\u00e1lov, ktor\u00e9 cez obla\u010dn\u00fa vrstvu prech\u00e1dzaj\u00fa. Radarov\u00e9 merania uk\u00e1zali, \u017ee pevn\u00fd povrch Venu\u0161e sa nach\u00e1dza 80 km pod vidite\u013en\u00fdmi vrcholmi <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=1927\">oblakov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pribli\u017ene 60 % povrchu tvoria ni\u017e\u0161ie polo\u017een\u00e9 rovinat\u00e9 oblasti, kde rozdiely vo v\u00fd\u0161ke ter\u00e9nu nepresahuj\u00fa 1 km. S\u00fa analogick\u00e9 oce\u00e1nskym panv\u00e1m na Zemi, ale neobsahuj\u00fa \u017eiadnu vodu. Asi 16 % povrchu pokr\u00fdvaj\u00fa plytk\u00e9 panvy a \u00fadolia. Nad ne vystupuj\u00fa dve \u201ekontinent\u00e1lne\u201c vrchoviny, ktor\u00e9 sa dv\u00edhaj\u00fa z nedoziernych pl\u00e1n\u00ed a predstavuj\u00fa necel\u00fa \u0161tvrtinu, asi 24 % povrchu. V\u00fd\u0161ky povrchov\u00fdch \u00fatvarov sa meraj\u00fa vzh\u013eadom ku stredn\u00e9mu polomeru <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=6020\">plan\u00e9ty<\/a>, ktor\u00fd je 6 051,4 km, tak, ako na Zemi sa meria nadmorsk\u00e1 v\u00fd\u0161ka vzh\u013eadom k hladine mora. Hlavn\u00e9 vyv\u00fd\u0161eniny s\u00fa Aphrodite Terra (Afroditina Zem) a Ishtar Terra (I\u0161tarina zem). Asi 85 % povrchu Venu\u0161e tvor\u00ed ned\u00e1vno stuhnut\u00e1 vrstva bazaltovej l\u00e1vy, iba v\u00fdnimo\u010dne naru\u0161en\u00e1 meteoritick\u00fdm kr\u00e1terom. To napoved\u00e1, \u017ee plan\u00e9ta v ned\u00e1vnej (z geologick\u00e9ho h\u013eadiska) minulosti podst\u00fapila ve\u013ek\u00e9 pretvorenie povrchu.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">S\u00faradnicov\u00e1 s\u00fastava<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na povrchu Venu\u0161e bola zaveden\u00e1 s\u00faradnicov\u00e1 s\u00fastava, ktor\u00e1 sa naz\u00fdva afroditografick\u00e1 (z gr\u00e9ckeho n\u00e1zvu pre bohy\u0148u Venu\u0161u \u2013 Afrodita). Z\u00e1kladn\u00fd poludn\u00edk Venu\u0161e prech\u00e1dza kr\u00e1terom Eve v Alpha Regio a od neho meriame afroditografick\u00fa d\u013a\u017eku kladne smerom k Thetis Regio. Afroditografick\u00e1 \u0161\u00edrka sa meria kladne smerom k Maxwell Montes.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">N\u00e1zvoslovie povrchov\u00fdch \u00fatvarov<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Venu\u0161a je jedin\u00e1 plan\u00e9ta pomenovan\u00e1 po bohyni \u2013 \u017eene. V starom R\u00edme bola Venu\u0161a bohy\u0148a l\u00e1sky, kr\u00e1sy a plodnosti. Medzin\u00e1rodn\u00e1 astronomick\u00e1 \u00fania teda rozhodla, \u017ee s v\u00fdnimkou Maxwell Montes bud\u00fa v\u0161etky povrchov\u00e9 \u00fatvary nies\u0165 len \u017eensk\u00e9 men\u00e1. Pokia\u013e je \u00fatvar pomenovan\u00fd po skuto\u010dnej (a nie po mytologickej \u017eene), plat\u00ed pravidlo, \u017ee mus\u00ed by\u0165 u\u017e viac ne\u017e 3 roky po smrti, a v 19. ani 20. storo\u010d\u00ed sa nesmela zaobera\u0165 politikou alebo vojenskou \u010dinnos\u0165ou a tie\u017e nesmela by\u0165 osobnos\u0165ou \u0161pecifick\u00e9ho n\u00e1rodn\u00e9ho v\u00fdznamu. Pravidl\u00e1 tie\u017e neumo\u017e\u0148uj\u00fa da\u0165 \u00fatvaru meno, ktor\u00e9 u\u017e bolo pou\u017eit\u00e9 na pomenovanie in\u00e9ho planet\u00e1rneho Trojrozmern\u00fd obr\u00e1zok vznikol na z\u00e1klade \u00fadajov zo sondy Magellan.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vulkanizmus<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A\u017e 85 % povrchov\u00fdch \u00fatvarov na Venu\u0161i je sope\u010dn\u00e9ho p\u00f4vodu. Predpoklad\u00e1 sa, \u017ee vulkanizmus Venu\u0161e pripom\u00edna pozemsk\u00fd, ale na rozdiel od Zeme, kde s\u00fa prejavy sope\u010dnej \u010dinnosti situovan\u00e9 preva\u017ene do pomerne \u00fazkych oblast\u00ed na okrajoch litosf\u00e9rick\u00fdch platn\u00ed, na Venu\u0161i je viazan\u00fd na v\u00fdskyt tzv. hor\u00facich \u0161kv\u0155n, v\u00fdstupov term\u00e1lnych trub\u00edc. Medzi prejavy vulkanickej \u010dinnosti patria l\u00e1vov\u00e9 pr\u00fady, v\u00fdlevy, \u0161t\u00edtov\u00e9 sopky, vulkanick\u00e9 d\u00f3my a in\u00e9. Najviac sope\u010dn\u00fdch foriem je s\u00fastreden\u00fdch v oblasti medzi Beta, Alta a Themis Regio, kde pokr\u00fdvaj\u00fa asi 40 % venu\u0161sk\u00e9ho povrchu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na Venu\u0161i sa nach\u00e1dza ve\u013ek\u00e9 mno\u017estvo sopiek. Gula Mons je \u0161t\u00edtov\u00e1 sopka v oblasti Eistla Regio, ktor\u00e1 m\u00e1 v\u00fd\u0161ku 3 km a priemer z\u00e1kladne pribli\u017ene 400 km. Obklopuj\u00fa ju stovky kilometrov l\u00e1vov\u00fdch pr\u00fadov. Najvy\u0161\u0161ia sopka na Venu\u0161i je Maat Mons, ktor\u00e1 sa t\u00fd\u010di do v\u00fd\u0161ky 8 km a nach\u00e1dza sa v oblasti Alta Regio spolu s nieko\u013ek\u00fdmi \u010fal\u0161\u00edmi mimoriadne vysok\u00fdmi sopkami. Sonda Magellan zaznamenala na Venu\u0161i tie\u017e mohutn\u00e9 v\u00fdlevy l\u00e1vy, z ktor\u00fdch niektor\u00e9 s\u00fa celistv\u00e9 a in\u00e9 u\u017e erodovan\u00e9. Riedka a pomaly tuhn\u00faca l\u00e1va sformovala tie\u017e br\u00e1zdy s d\u013a\u017ekou a\u017e nieko\u013eko tis\u00edc kilometrov. Odli\u0161n\u00e9 venu\u0161sk\u00e9 podmienky pravdepodobne stoja za vznikom zrejme unik\u00e1tnych vulkanick\u00fdch \u00fatvarov, okr\u00fahlych splo\u0161ten\u00fdch sopiek. Predpoklad\u00e1 sa, \u017ee tieto sopky s\u00fa budovan\u00e9 horninami bohat\u00fdmi na krem\u00edk, a pod vplyvom vysokej teploty a tlaku splacateli. Skupina tak\u00fdchto vulkanick\u00fdch d\u00f3mov sa nach\u00e1dza napr\u00edklad vo v\u00fdchodnej \u010dasti Alpha Regio. Hust\u00e1 atmosf\u00e9ra s\u0165a\u017euje uvo\u013e\u0148ovanie plynov z l\u00e1vy, v\u010faka \u010domu s\u00fa na Venu\u0161i ove\u013ea \u010dastej\u0161ie l\u00e1vov\u00e9 pr\u00fady a plo\u0161n\u00e9 v\u00fdlevy ne\u017e popolov\u00e9 ku\u017eele a \u010fal\u0161ie produkty sope\u010dn\u00fdch v\u00fdbuchov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chemick\u00e9 anal\u00fdzy prist\u00e1vac\u00edch modulov potvrdili, \u017ee horniny na Venu\u0161i s\u00fa takmer v\u00fdlu\u010dne vulkanick\u00e9ho alebo magmatick\u00e9ho p\u00f4vodu. Preva\u017euj\u00fa r\u00f4zne typy bazaltov. Vrcholy Maxwell Montes maj\u00fa vysok\u00fa odrazivos\u0165, \u010do astrofyzikov z Harvard-Smithsonian Center viedlo k domnienke, \u017ee by mohli by\u0165 tvoren\u00e9 pyrhotytom, miner\u00e1lom bohat\u00fdm na \u017eelezo.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u00e1vov\u00e9 koryt\u00e1<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Merania sondy Magellan uk\u00e1zali prekvapuj\u00faci objav dlh\u00fdch k\u013eukat\u00fdch \u00fatvarov pripom\u00ednaj\u00facich rieky. Niektor\u00e9 sa dokonca rozvetvovali na delty ve\u013ekos\u0165ou porovnate\u013en\u00e9 s deltou rieky Mississippi. Tieto koryt\u00e1 nemohla vytvori\u0165 te\u010d\u00faca voda, ktor\u00e1 sa na Venu\u0161i nenach\u00e1dza, ale ve\u013ek\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00e1 riedkej tekutej l\u00e1vy. D\u013a\u017eka l\u00e1vov\u00fdch kor\u00fdt je stovky a\u017e tis\u00edce kilometrov, \u0161\u00edrka dosahuje 1 a\u017e 2 kilometre. Najdlh\u0161\u00ed objaven\u00fd kan\u00e1l je Baltis Vallis. Meandre kan\u00e1lov pripom\u00ednaj\u00fa meandre pozemsk\u00fdch riek, ale v ich koryt\u00e1ch sa v\u00f4bec nevyskytuj\u00fa balvany. Procesy, ktor\u00fdmi tieto \u00fatvary vznikli, pravdepodobne nemaj\u00fa v <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=962\">slne\u010dnej s\u00fastave<\/a> obdobu.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tektonika<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nako\u013eko Venu\u0161a je hustotou, rozmermi aj hmotnos\u0165ou ve\u013emi podobn\u00e1 Zemi, niektor\u00ed planetol\u00f3govia predpokladali, \u017ee by na nej, podobne ako na Zemi, mohla by\u0165 plat\u0148ov\u00e1 tektonika. Sn\u00edmky zo sondy Pioneer Venus Orbiter uk\u00e1zali, \u017ee asi 15 % Venu\u0161inho povrchu nesie v\u00fdrazn\u00e9 tektonick\u00e9 poruchy. Niektor\u00e9 strm\u00e9 zr\u00e1zy s\u00fa napr\u00edklad zlomov\u00e9ho p\u00f4vodu. Dodnes sa v\u0161ak najpodrobnej\u0161\u00edmi rozbormi nepodarilo na Venu\u0161i zisti\u0165 nijak\u00e9 prejavy plat\u0148ovej tektoniky. Predpoklad\u00e1 sa preto, \u017ee povrch Venu\u0161e nie je rozdelen\u00fd na viacero pohybliv\u00fdch tektonick\u00fdch platn\u00ed, a \u017ee vznik v\u00e4\u010d\u0161iny tektonick\u00fdch foriem podmienili magmatick\u00e9 alebo sope\u010dn\u00e9 pochody prebiehaj\u00face vo vrchnom pl\u00e1\u0161ti plan\u00e9ty.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Er\u00f3zia<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Z h\u013eadiska p\u00f4sobenia povrchov\u00fdch procesov sa \u00fatvary na Venu\u0161i pova\u017euj\u00fa za pomerne st\u00e1le. Najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00ed v\u00fdznam by mohlo ma\u0165 chemick\u00e9 zvetr\u00e1vanie pripovrchov\u00fdch horn\u00edn, na strm\u0161\u00edch svahoch sa predpoklad\u00e1 tie\u017e vznik zosuvov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Formovanie povrchu Venu\u0161e ovplyv\u0148uje tie\u017e vetern\u00e1 \u010dinnos\u0165. Na sn\u00edmkach zo sondy Magellan sa podarilo objavi\u0165 viac ne\u017e 800 n\u00e1vejov, dunov\u00fdch pol\u00ed a pretiahnut\u00fdch hrebe\u0148ov z naviateho materi\u00e1lu lemovan\u00fdch dvoma priehlbinami. Rozlohou je podobn\u00e1 Afrike, ale na rozdiel od tohto pozemsk\u00e9ho kontinentu pravdepodobne nie je v\u00fdsledkom doskovej tektoniky, aj ke\u010f vykazuje mnoho kompresn\u00fdch \u00fatvarov. Jej d\u013a\u017eka je vy\u0161e 10 000 km a pret\u00ednaj\u00fa ju \u0161irok\u00e9 line\u00e1rne depresie s h\u013abkou a\u017e 3 km.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010clen\u00ed sa na Ovda Regio na z\u00e1pade a Thetis Regio na v\u00fdchode \u2013 na juhu k nej prilieha obrovsk\u00e1 obl\u00fakov\u00e1 \u0161trukt\u00fara Artemis Chasma. Ovda Regio je hornat\u00fd ter\u00e9n, ktor\u00e1 vystupuje a\u017e 3 km nad priemern\u00fa \u00farove\u0148 povrchu. Obsahuje zakriven\u00e9 hrebene a br\u00e1zdy, ktor\u00e9 dokazuj\u00fa, \u017ee pri ich formovan\u00ed zohrala svoju \u00falohu aj sope\u010dn\u00e1 aktivita. V z\u00e1padnej \u010dasti Aphrodite Terra je zlom Dali Chasma s celkovou d\u013a\u017ekou 2 077 km. Je to syst\u00e9m ka\u0148onov, hlbok\u00fdch kor\u00fdt a vysok\u00fdch pohor\u00ed.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isthar Terra<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isthar Terra (I\u0161tarina zem) je vyv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e9 \u00fazemie porovnate\u013en\u00e9 s Tibetskou plo\u0161inou. Pomenovanie dostala pod\u013ea babylonskej bohyne l\u00e1sky a plodnosti I\u0161tar. Je men\u0161ia ne\u017e Aphrodite Terra a nach\u00e1dza sa v bl\u00edzkosti severn\u00e9ho p\u00f3lu plan\u00e9ty. Obsahuje aj najvy\u0161\u0161ie pohorie Venu\u0161e, Maxwell Montes, ktor\u00e9 vystupuje vy\u0161e 10 km nad \u00farove\u0148 okolit\u00fdch n\u00ed\u017ein. Ve\u013ekos\u0165ou je porovnate\u013en\u00e1 s Austr\u00e1liou, dosahuje d\u013a\u017eku 5 610 km. Z\u00e1padn\u00fa \u010das\u0165 Isthar Terra tvor\u00ed vyv\u00fd\u0161enina Lakshmi Planum, ktor\u00e1 na severoz\u00e1pade nadv\u00e4zuje na Akna Montes a Freya Montes, na juhu na Danu Montes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isthar Terra pravdepodobne vznikla pri stl\u00e1\u010dan\u00ed pl\u00f4ch k\u00f4ry Venu\u0161e. Je mo\u017en\u00e9, \u017ee pod \u0148ou sa nach\u00e1dza chladnej\u0161ia a hrub\u0161ia k\u00f4ra, ktor\u00e1 sa udr\u017eiava preto, lebo pl\u00e1\u0161\u0165 sa dv\u00edha.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lada Terra<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lada Terra (Ladina zem) sa nach\u00e1dza v regi\u00f3ne ju\u017en\u00e9ho p\u00f3lu plan\u00e9ty, preva\u017ene ju\u017ene od 50. rovnobe\u017eky afroditografickej \u0161\u00edrky. M\u00e1 d\u013a\u017eku 8 615 km, \u010d\u00edm je po Aphrodite Terra druhou najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ou vyso\u010dinou na Venu\u0161i, ale vie sa o nej pomerne m\u00e1lo. Zah\u0155\u0148a ter\u00e9n typu tessera a kri\u017euj\u00facimi sa br\u00e1zdami a hrebe\u0148mi. V\u00fdrazn\u00e9 s\u00fa aj stopy po vulkanickej \u010dinnosti. Ich priemer je od 7 do 270 kilometrov, najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ie z nich s\u00fa obklopen\u00e9 viacn\u00e1sobn\u00fdmi prstencami. Stredne ve\u013ek\u00e9 obsahuj\u00fa stredov\u00e9 vrcholy. Najmen\u0161ie kr\u00e1tery, ktor\u00e9 s\u00fa s\u00fa\u010dasne aj najvz\u00e1cnej\u0161ie, maj\u00fa pomerne hladk\u00e9 dn\u00e1. Impaktn\u00e9 kr\u00e1tery s priemerom pod 7 km sa v\u00f4bec nevyskytuj\u00fa, preto\u017ee hrub\u00e1 a hust\u00e1 atmosf\u00e9ra Venu\u0161e dobre chr\u00e1ni povrch pred dopadmi men\u0161\u00edch telies. Hust\u00e1 atmosf\u00e9ra tie\u017e sp\u00f4sobuje rozdielny vzh\u013ead kr\u00e1terov pri porovn\u00e1van\u00ed s kr\u00e1termi na telies bez atmosf\u00e9ry. Napr\u00edklad impaktn\u00fd kr\u00e1ter Aurelia nie je obklopen\u00fd okr\u00fahlym valom ako kr\u00e1tery na Mesiaci, ale jazykovit\u00fdmi \u00fatvarmi, ktor\u00e9 vytvorili stuhnut\u00e9 l\u00e1vov\u00e9 v\u00fdtoky.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V\u00e4\u010d\u0161ina pozorovan\u00fdch kr\u00e1terov musela vznikn\u00fa\u0165 a\u017e po mas\u00edvnom vulkanickom prebudovan\u00ed povrchu Venu\u0161e, ktor\u00e9 sa odohralo asi pred 500 mili\u00f3nmi rokov. Najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00ed impaktn\u00fd kr\u00e1ter na Venu\u0161i je Mead Crater s priemerom 270 km. M\u00e1 dva zrete\u013en\u00e9 prstence, pri\u010dom vn\u00fatorn\u00fd prstenec je vlastne okrajom stredovej panvy. Jeho h\u013abka je v\u0161ak pomerne mal\u00e1, pravdepodobne kv\u00f4li zaliatiu kr\u00e1tera taveninou z impaktu alebo sope\u010dnou l\u00e1vou.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hist\u00f3ria mapovania<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pozorovanie zo Zeme<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pre neprieh\u013eadn\u00fa vrstvu mrakov zost\u00e1val povrch Venu\u0161e pre vedcov dlho z\u00e1hadou. Ke\u010f\u017ee ve\u013ekos\u0165ou a hustotou sa Venu\u0161a podob\u00e1 Zemi, predpokladala sa pr\u00edtomnos\u0165 kvapalnej vody na jej povrchu. Mikrovlnn\u00e9 pozorovania v\u0161ak uk\u00e1zali, \u017ee teplota atmosf\u00e9ry je okolo 600 K, \u010do t\u00fato mo\u017enos\u0165 vyl\u00fa\u010dilo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Z\u00e1sadn\u00fd zlom v pozn\u00e1van\u00ed povrchu Venu\u0161e prinieslo pou\u017eitie radaru. Prv\u00e9 radarov\u00e9 pozorovania sa konali zo Zeme v roku 1961. Systematick\u00fd radarov\u00fd v\u00fdskum povrchu Venu\u0161e sa za\u010dal v roku 1962 a to hlavne pomocou 300-metrovej ant\u00e9ny Arecibo v Portoriku a \u010fal\u0161\u00edch dvoch r\u00e1dioteleskopov v Goldstone a Haystacku s priemerom ant\u00e9ny 43 m. Radarov\u00e9 mapovania zo Zeme pokryli 23 % povrchu Venu\u0161e s rozl\u00ed\u0161en\u00edm 1,5 \u2013 2 km\/pixel.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mapovanie kozmick\u00fdmi sondami<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prv\u00e9 sondy mieriace k Venu\u0161i sk\u00famali jej atmosf\u00e9ru, plazmu v jej okol\u00ed a magnetick\u00e9 pole. Prv\u00e1 sonda, ktor\u00e1 radarom merala v\u00fd\u0161ku povrchu Venu\u0161e, bola Pioneer Venus Orbiter. V rokoch 1978 a 1979 zistila v\u00fd\u0161ku ter\u00e9nu 93 % povrchu plan\u00e9ty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sondy Venera 15 a 16 v roku 1983 mapovali povrch Venu\u0161e radarovou technikou. Podarilo sa im zachyti\u0165 25 % povrchu od severn\u00e9ho p\u00f3lu a\u017e po 30\u00b0 severnej \u0161\u00edrky.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sonda Magellan<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Magellan bola planet\u00e1rna sonda, ktor\u00e1 od\u0161tartovala v 4. m\u00e1ja 1989 z paluby <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=403\">raketopl\u00e1nu<\/a> Atlantis. K Venu\u0161i doletela po 463 d\u0148och letu a bola naveden\u00e1 na jej obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu s pericyteri\u00f3nom vo v\u00fd\u0161ke 294 km a apocyteri\u00f3nom vo v\u00fd\u0161ke 8 450 km. I\u0161lo teda o zna\u010dne excentrick\u00fa dr\u00e1hu. 1. septembra 1990 za\u010dala sonda systematicky mapova\u0165 povrch Venu\u0161e prostredn\u00edctvom radaru. V priebehu 37 min\u00fat trvaj\u00faceho sn\u00edmkovania pri ka\u017edom obehu zachytila p\u00e1s s \u0161\u00edrkou 25 km a s d\u013a\u017ekou 15 000 \u2013 17 000 km. Rozli\u0161ovacia schopnos\u0165 sn\u00edmok Magellanu dosahuje 120 metrov. Jej sn\u00edmky maj\u00fa teda pribli\u017ene o jeden r\u00e1d lep\u0161ie rozl\u00ed\u0161enie ne\u017e sn\u00edmky, ktor\u00e9 urobili sondy programu Venera. Okrem sn\u00edmkovania sonda tie\u017e radarom merala v\u00fd\u0161ku povrchov\u00fdch \u00fatvarov.
