Tvar modulu je ve\u013emi podobn\u00fd viac\u00fa\u010delov\u00e9mu transportn\u00e9mu modulu MPLM (Multi-Purpose Logistics Module), obidva boli navrhnut\u00e9 na prepravu v n\u00e1kladovom priestore raketopl\u00e1nu. Jedna k\u00f3nick\u00e1 strana je vybaven\u00e1 laborat\u00f3rnou technikou a po\u010d\u00edta\u010dmi, na druhom konci je umiestnen\u00fd prielez, ktor\u00fdm bolo laborat\u00f3rium spojen\u00e9 s modulom Harmony. Modul postavili v z\u00e1vode v Br\u00e9mach v Nemecku, na Floridu bol prepraven\u00fd pomocou lietadla Airbusu Beluga v roku 2006. Riadiace stredisko modulu Columbus Control Centre s\u00eddli v Oberpfaffenhofene v Nemecku.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Columbus vyp\u013a\u0148al cel\u00fa zadn\u00fa \u010das\u0165 n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru raketopl\u00e1nu. Na \u013eavej hornej strane n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru sa nach\u00e1dzalo manipula\u010dn\u00e9 rameno RMS (Remote Manipulator System), na proti\u013eahlej hrane bola umiestnen\u00e1 predl\u017eovacia ty\u010d OBSS (Orbital Boom Sensor System). V strednej \u010dasti n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru bola \u010falej umiestnen\u00e1 plo\u0161ina ICC-L (Integrated Cargo Carrier \u2013 Lite), na ktorej bola upevnen\u00e1 n\u00e1dr\u017e na dus\u00edk pre stanicu ISS NTA (Nitrogen Tank Assembly). Okrem tejto n\u00e1dr\u017ee boli na plo\u0161ine umiestnen\u00e9 dve extern\u00e9 zariadenia modulu Columbus: Prv\u00fdm je platforma EuTEF (European Technology Exposure Facility) nes\u00faca dev\u00e4\u0165 v\u00fdmenn\u00fdch experimentov. Pri n\u00e1vrate bol na plo\u0161ine umiestnen\u00fd chybn\u00fd silov\u00fd zotrva\u010dn\u00edk CMG (Control Moment Gyroscope). Druh\u00fdm extern\u00fdm zariaden\u00edm bolo observat\u00f3rium SOLAR\/SMO (Solar Monitoring Observatory) obsahuj\u00face dvojicu zariaden\u00ed: SOVIN (Solar Variable and Irradiance Monitor) a SOLPEC (SOLar SPECtral Irradiance Measurements). SOLAR aj EuTEF boli nesk\u00f4r namontovan\u00e9 na vonkaj\u0161\u00ed povrch modulu Columbus. Pred nimi na \u013eavoboku sa nach\u00e1dzala distribu\u010dn\u00e1 rozvodn\u00e1 jednotka SPDU (Shuttle Power Distribution Unit) a na pravoboku bolo z\u00e1chytn\u00e9 zariadenie pre modul Columbus PDGF (Power Data Grapple Fixture). Bola dopraven\u00e1 lo\u010fou z tov\u00e1rne Michoud Assembly Facility v Luisiane. Extern\u00e1 n\u00e1dr\u017e bola najprv podroben\u00e1 sk\u00fa\u0161kam a 18. okt\u00f3bra bola pripojen\u00e1 k pomocn\u00fdm raketov\u00fdm motorom (SRB). Raketopl\u00e1n Atlantis sa z hang\u00e1ru OPF presunul do haly VAB 4. novembra, e\u0161te po\u010das trvania misie raketopl\u00e1nu Discovery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=3069\">STS-120<\/a>. Vo VAB bol <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=468\">orbiter<\/a> pripojen\u00fd k vonkaj\u0161ej palivovej n\u00e1dr\u017ei ET a k pomocn\u00fdm motorom SRB a 10. novembra sa t\u00e1to zostava presunula na \u0161tartovac\u00ed komplex 39-A.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V d\u0148och 19. a\u017e 20. novembra prebehlo sk\u00fa\u0161obn\u00e9 odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie TCDT (Terminal Count Down Test). \u0160tart bol p\u00f4vodne napl\u00e1novan\u00fd na 6. decembra 2007 v \u010dase 22:31 SE\u010c. 30. novembra NASA potvrdila, \u017ee raketopl\u00e1n Atlantis je pripraven\u00fd od\u0161tartova\u0165 v tomto term\u00edne. 4. decembra o 1:00 SE\u010c za\u010dalo ostr\u00e9 odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie v \u010dase T-43 hod\u00edn. Kv\u00f4li zlyhaniu dvoch sn\u00edma\u010dov ECO pri plnen\u00ed n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET v\u0161ak \u0161tart musel by\u0165 odvolan\u00fd. Nov\u00fd pl\u00e1novan\u00fd term\u00edn \u0161tartu bol 9. december 2007 o 21:21 SE\u010c. 9. decembra pri plnen\u00ed n\u00e1dr\u017ee v\u0161ak jeden zo senzorov ECO op\u00e4\u0165 zlyhal, preto bol \u0161tart znova odvolan\u00fd a odlo\u017een\u00fd predbe\u017ene na 2. janu\u00e1ra 2008. Nesk\u00f4r bol d\u00e1tum \u0161tartu zmenen\u00fd na 10. janu\u00e1ra, ale po sch\u00f4dzi mana\u017e\u00e9rov 27. decembra 2007 bol odlo\u017een\u00fd na neur\u010dito.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">29. decembra bol z n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET vymontovan\u00fd chybn\u00fd konektor. Po zhodnoten\u00ed postupu pr\u00e1c bolo 11. janu\u00e1ra ozn\u00e1men\u00e9, \u017ee nov\u00fd d\u00e1tum \u0161tartu je 7. febru\u00e1r 2008. 4. febru\u00e1ra v \u010dase 23:00 SE\u010c bolo za\u010dat\u00e9 odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie na \u0161tart 7. febru\u00e1ra v \u010dase 20:45 SE\u010c. Hoci predpovede po\u010dasia d\u00e1vali len 30 % \u0161ancu na \u0161tart 7. febru\u00e1ra, pred\u0161tartov\u00e9 pr\u00edpravy pokra\u010dovali. 7. 2 o 20:37 dal Doug Lyons, riadite\u013e pred\u0161tartov\u00fdch oper\u00e1ci\u00ed, s\u00fahlas s pokra\u010dovan\u00edm odpo\u010d\u00edtavania.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/401px-STS122CloseUpLaunch.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3364\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/401px-STS122CloseUpLaunch-201x300.jpg\" alt=\"401px-sts122closeuplaunch\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/401px-STS122CloseUpLaunch-201x300.jpg 201w, https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/401px-STS122CloseUpLaunch.jpg 401w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><\/a>Priebeh letu<\/h2>\n<h3>\u0160tart<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Atlantis od\u0161tartoval 7. febru\u00e1ra 2008 v \u010dase 20:45 SE\u010c (19:45 UTC). V \u010dase 20:47 sa od jeho n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET oddelili \u0161tartovacie motory SRB, ktor\u00e9 potom prist\u00e1li v mori. \u013dav\u00e9mu motoru sa pritom neotvoril jeden z troch pad\u00e1kov, ale napriek tomu prist\u00e1l bez po\u0161kodenia. O 20:54 do\u0161lo k man\u00e9vru MECO, \u010di\u017ee vypnutiu hlavn\u00fdch motorov SSME. Nasledovalo odhodenie n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET v \u010dase T + 08:55 Atlantis sa \u010falej pohyboval po suborbit\u00e1lnej dr\u00e1he, ktor\u00fa v \u010dase T + 37:58 zmenil na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu. Pod\u013ea predbe\u017en\u00fdch inform\u00e1ci\u00ed z riadiaceho strediska bolo odpad\u00e1vanie tepelnej izol\u00e1cie z n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET minim\u00e1lne a zatia\u013e nebol zisten\u00fd nijak\u00fd dopad na raketopl\u00e1n. V \u010dase 19:45:46.5 UT v\u0161ak bol spozorovan\u00fd odpadnut\u00fd \u00falomok izola\u010dnej peny z \u013eav\u00e9ho motoru SRB.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O 23:00 SE\u010c boli otvoren\u00e9 dvere do n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru a bola vyklopen\u00e1 a aktivovan\u00e1 ant\u00e9na pre Ku p\u00e1smo pre spojenie s geostacion\u00e1rnou dru\u017eicou TDRSS. 8. febru\u00e1ra Atlantis vykon\u00e1val kontrolu tepeln\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00edtu prostredn\u00edctvom n\u00e1stavca OBSS umiestnen\u00e9ho na konci manipul\u00e1toru RMS a z\u00e1rove\u0148 zmen\u0161oval svoju vzdialenos\u0165 od ISS.<\/p>\n<h3>9. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 3)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vo vzdialenosti 20 km od stanice dostala pos\u00e1dka Altantisu od riadiaceho strediska s\u00fahlas s vykonan\u00edm man\u00e9vru TI. Tl je pribli\u017eovac\u00ed man\u00e9ver, v tomto pr\u00edpade pribli\u017ene 14-sekundov\u00fd z\u00e1\u017eih \u013eav\u00e9ho motoru OMS. Nasledovali 4 korek\u010dn\u00e9 man\u00e9vre, posledn\u00fd z nich v \u010dase 15:54:22 UT bolo zah\u00e1jen\u00e1 vyrovn\u00e1vanie r\u00fdchlosti s ISS. V \u010dase 16:24 UT vo vzdialenosti 180 metrov od stanice Atlantis za\u010dal man\u00e9ver RPM (Rotation Pitch Maneuver), po\u010das ktor\u00e9ho pos\u00e1dka ISS sn\u00edmkovala jeho tepeln\u00fd \u0161t\u00edt. Man\u00e9ver bol ukon\u010den\u00fd v \u010dase 16:32 UT. Raketopl\u00e1n sa za\u010dal op\u00e4\u0165 pribli\u017eova\u0165 k ISS. V \u010dase 16:48 UT dalo riadiace stredisko s\u00fahlas so spojen\u00edm. V \u010dase 17:17 UT, viac ne\u017e 7 min\u00fat sk\u00f4r oproti pl\u00e1nu sa raketopl\u00e1n Atlantis pripojil k uzlu PMA-2 (Pressurized Mating Adapter Two) Medzin\u00e1rodnej vesm\u00edrnej stanice. Do 17:35 UT pokra\u010dovalo pevn\u00e9 spojenie s komplexom. Nasledovala kontrola hermetickosti spoja a v \u010dase 18:40 UT do\u0161lo k otvoreniu prielezu medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a stanicou. Po priv\u00edtan\u00ed pos\u00e1dok nasledovalo bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 \u0161kolenie pos\u00e1dky raketopl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<h3>10. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 4)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V tento de\u0148 mal prebehn\u00fa\u0165 prv\u00fd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=7410\">v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru<\/a> (EVA-1), ktor\u00fd bol v\u0161ak odlo\u017een\u00fd vzh\u013eadom na zdravotn\u00e9 probl\u00e9my astronauta Schlegela. V\u00fdstup bol prelo\u017een\u00fd na 11. febru\u00e1ra (za\u010diatok v \u010dase 14:35 UT), cel\u00e1 misia bola pred\u013a\u017een\u00e1 o 24 hod\u00edn a bolo rozhodnut\u00e9, \u017ee pri v\u00fdstupe Schlegela nahrad\u00ed Stanley Glen Love. Jednodenn\u00fd odklad nastal preto, aby sa Love mohol pripravi\u0165 na v\u00fdstup namiesto chor\u00e9ho Schlegela a osvoji\u0165 si v\u0161etky potrebn\u00e9 proced\u00fary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10. febru\u00e1ra pos\u00e1dka pren\u00e1\u0161ala n\u00e1klad medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a stanicou, nacvi\u010dovala pr\u00e1cu s manipul\u00e1torom SSRMS a vykonala in\u0161pekciu podozriv\u00fdch miest tepelnej ochrany raketopl\u00e1nu pr\u00edstrojmi OBSS, ktor\u00e9 v\u0161ak boli tentoraz pripevnen\u00e9 na stani\u010dnom manipul\u00e1tore SSRMS. Na z\u00e1klade v\u00fdsledkov tejto in\u0161pekcie sa nesk\u00f4r malo rozhodn\u00fa\u0165, \u010di bude nutn\u00e9 opravi\u0165 tieto miesta pri v\u00fdstupe do kozmu.<\/p>\n<h3>11. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 5)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Astronauti Walheim a Love za\u010dali d\u00fdcha\u0165 kysl\u00edk z masiek v r\u00e1mci pr\u00edprav na prv\u00fd v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru. Potom si za pomoci \u010fal\u0161\u00edch \u010dlenov pos\u00e1dky obliekli skafandre a premiestnili sa do prechodovej komory Quest. V r\u00e1mci t\u00fdchto pr\u00edprav astronauti najprv pripevnili \u0161peci\u00e1lny energetick\u00fd a d\u00e1tov\u00fd dr\u017eiak PDGF (Power Data Grapple Fixture), ktor\u00fd umo\u017enil uchopenie modulu dia\u013ekov\u00fdmi manipul\u00e1tormi. V \u010dase 19:40 sa astronautom podarilo dokon\u010di\u0165 kompletn\u00fa in\u0161tal\u00e1ciu PDGF a sp\u00e4tn\u00fa mont\u00e1\u017e vonkaj\u0161\u00edch krytov na modul Columbus. Potom sa mali venova\u0165 demontovaniu potrubia dus\u00edka a odstra\u0148ovaniu n\u00e1dr\u017ee dus\u00edka NTA (Nitrogen Tank Assembly). T\u00e1to n\u00e1dr\u017e m\u00e1 by\u0165 potom nahraden\u00e1 novou plnou n\u00e1dr\u017eou, ktor\u00fa doviezol raketopl\u00e1n. Modul Columbus bol zatia\u013e zachyten\u00fd stani\u010dn\u00fdm manipul\u00e1torom a vyzdvihnut\u00fd z n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru Atlantisu. Ke\u010f\u017ee in\u0161tal\u00e1cia PDGF trvala astronautom dlh\u0161ie, ne\u017e sa predpokladalo, museli si \u00eds\u0165 doplni\u0165 z\u00e1soby kysl\u00edka do prechodovej komory. Modul Columbus bol zatia\u013e premiestnen\u00fd k modulu Harmony a v \u010dase 22:45 zaklapli a boli dotiahnut\u00e9 ich z\u00e1mky. Modul Columbus sa t\u00fdm stal s\u00fa\u010das\u0165ou Medzin\u00e1rodnej vesm\u00edrnej stanice. Pl\u00e1novan\u00e9 odpojenie k\u00e1blov a had\u00edc od n\u00e1dr\u017ee NTA muselo by\u0165 prelo\u017een\u00e9 na za\u010diatok \u010fal\u0161ieho v\u00fdstupu (EVA-2), ktor\u00fd m\u00e1 prebehn\u00fa\u0165 13. febru\u00e1ra. Walheim len pripravil spoj na do\u010dasn\u00e9 zachytenie n\u00e1dr\u017ee NTA pri v\u00fdmene a povolil \u0161tyri hlavn\u00e9 skrutky, ktor\u00e9 dr\u017eali n\u00e1dr\u017e v kon\u0161trukcii P1. V\u00fdstup sa skon\u010dil v \u010dase 23:11 SE\u010c a trval 7 hod\u00edn 58 min\u00fat.<\/p>\n<h3>12. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 6)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">D\u00f4le\u017eitou udalos\u0165ou 6. letov\u00e9ho d\u0148a bol prv\u00fd vstup pos\u00e1dky do modulu Columbus a jeho postupn\u00e9 o\u017eivovanie. Prv\u00fd vst\u00fapil do modulu astronaut Eyharts v \u010dase okolo 20:00 UT. Technici na Zemi zatia\u013e dokon\u010dili hodnotenie po\u0161kodenia tepeln\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00edtu na jednom z modulov OMS a rozhodli, \u017ee oprava v tomto pr\u00edpade nie je nutn\u00e1 a teda ani neprebehne.<\/p>\n<h3>13. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 7)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prebehol druh\u00fd v\u00fdstup do kozmu (EVA-2), ktor\u00fd absolvovala u\u017e pod\u013ea p\u00f4vodn\u00e9ho pl\u00e1nu dvojica Walheim a Schlegel. Hlavnou \u00falohou druh\u00e9ho v\u00fdstupu do kozmu bola v\u00fdmena n\u00e1dr\u017ee NTA (Nitrogen Tank Assembly) v nosn\u00edku ITS-P1. T\u00e1to n\u00e1dr\u017e poskytuje tlakov\u00fd plyn pre udr\u017eanie spr\u00e1vneho tlaku amoniaku v chladiacich okruhoch stanice. V \u010dase 15:27 SE\u010c bol druh\u00fd v\u00fdstup do kozmu ofici\u00e1lne zah\u00e1jen\u00fd.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walheim pripravil nov\u00fa n\u00e1dr\u017e v n\u00e1kladovom priestore orbitera na prenesenie, Schlegel zatia\u013e odp\u00e1jal k\u00e1ble od starej n\u00e1dr\u017ee \u2013 t\u00e1to \u010dinnos\u0165 bola p\u00f4vodne pl\u00e1novan\u00e1 na EVA-1. Walheim potom preniesol nov\u00fa n\u00e1dr\u017e NTA k P1, kde ju pripevnil na voz\u00edk CETA. Star\u00e1 n\u00e1dr\u017e bola vytiahnut\u00e1 a pripevnen\u00e1 na druh\u00fd okraj CETA a na jej miesto bola pripevnen\u00e1 nov\u00e1 n\u00e1dr\u017e, kde bola priskrutkovan\u00e1 a napojen\u00e1 na pr\u00edvodov\u00e9 hadice a k\u00e1ble. Star\u00fa n\u00e1dr\u017e doniesol Walheim k raketopl\u00e1nu, kde bola pripevnen\u00e1 do kon\u0161trukcie ICC, aby mohla by\u0165 bezpe\u010dne dopraven\u00e1 na Zem. Schlegel zatia\u013e in\u0161taloval tepeln\u00e9 kryty na modul Columbus. Potom astronauti e\u0161te upevnili niektor\u00e9 uvo\u013enen\u00e9 panely sl\u00fa\u017eiace ako ochrana proti mikrometeoroidom na module Destiny. V \u010dase 21:12 UT sa v\u00fdstup skon\u010dil. Trval 6 hod\u00edn 45 min\u00fat, pl\u00e1n bol 6 hod\u00edn 30 min\u00fat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mana\u017e\u00e9ri NASA rozhodli, \u017ee misia STS-122 bude pred\u013a\u017een\u00e1 o jeden de\u0148, aby mali pos\u00e1dky viac \u010dasu na o\u017eivovanie modulu Columbus. Oddelenie od stanice preto prebehlo a\u017e 18. febru\u00e1ra a prist\u00e1tie Atlantisu 20. febru\u00e1ra.<\/p>\n<h3>14. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 8)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">14. febru\u00e1ra pokra\u010dovala o\u017eivovanie modulu Columbus a tie\u017e pren\u00e1\u0161anie n\u00e1kladu medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a stanicou. Prebiehali aj pr\u00edpravy na 3. v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru: Pr\u00edprava prechodovej komory Quest a \u0161t\u00fadium proced\u00far a \u010dasov\u00e9ho harmonogramu chystan\u00e9ho v\u00fdstupu.<\/p>\n<h3>15. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 8)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V \u010dase 14:07 SE\u010c za\u010dali astronauti Walheim a Love tret\u00ed v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru prepojen\u00edm skafandrov na vlastn\u00e9 zdroje. Po\u010das neho Walheim najprv namontoval na modul Columbus potrebn\u00e9 spoje, potom obaja astronauti spolo\u010dn\u00fdmi silami demontovali zariadenie SOLAR z n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru raketopl\u00e1nu a Love na stani\u010dnom manipul\u00e1tore ho priniesol k modulu Columbus. N\u00e1sledne \u00faspe\u0161ne namontovali SOLAR na vonkaj\u0161iu platformu modulu Columbus. Potom bol chybn\u00fd silov\u00fd gyroskop CMG (Control Moment Gyroscope) odmontovan\u00fd z plo\u0161iny ESP-2 v bl\u00edzkosti prechodovej komory a Love ho preniesol k raketopl\u00e1nu. V jeho n\u00e1kladovom priestore ho astronauti upevnili, \u010d\u00edm ho pripravili na n\u00e1vrat na Zem. \u010eal\u0161ou \u00falohou bol prenos a in\u0161tal\u00e1cia zariadenia EuTEF na modul Columbus. Aj t\u00e1to \u010das\u0165 v\u00fdstupu prebehla bez probl\u00e9mov, preto sa riadiace stredisko rozhodlo, \u017ee v nadpl\u00e1ne bude e\u0161te in\u0161pekcia po\u0161koden\u00e9ho madla pri prechodovej komore. Po\u0161kodenie objavil Love pri prvom v\u00fdstupe. Cie\u013eom in\u0161pekcie bolo zisti\u0165, \u010di toto po\u0161koden\u00e9 miesto m\u00f4\u017ee po\u0161kodi\u0165 skafandre astronautov. Tie\u017e prebehlo zv\u00fd\u0161enie dr\u00e1hy ISS prostredn\u00edctvom motorov raketopl\u00e1nu Atlantis a do n\u00e1dr\u017e\u00ed ISS bolo pre\u010derpan\u00fdch 42 kg plynn\u00e9ho kysl\u00edka[4]. Uskuto\u010dnila sa tie\u017e spolo\u010dn\u00e1 tla\u010dov\u00e1 konferencia pos\u00e1dok, spolo\u010dn\u00e9 fotografovanie a \u010das\u0165 pos\u00e1dky mala osobn\u00e9 vo\u013eno.<\/p>\n<h3>17. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 9)<\/h3>\n<p>V nede\u013eu 17. febru\u00e1ra pos\u00e1dky dokon\u010dili prekladanie n\u00e1kladu medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a stanicou, ukon\u010dilo sa pre\u010derp\u00e1vanie kysl\u00edka a v\u00fdsledky experimentov boli prenesen\u00e9 na palubu raketopl\u00e1nu. Okolo 17:15 UT sa pos\u00e1dky sl\u00e1vnostne rozl\u00fa\u010dili a v \u010dase 18:03 UT uzavreli prielezy medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a stanicou ako pr\u00edprava na odpojenie. Nasledovala kontrola hermetickosti vestibulu medzi raketopl\u00e1nom a komplexom. Potom pos\u00e1dka Atlantisu za\u010dala odpo\u010d\u00edva\u0165.<\/p>\n<h3>18. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 10)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V tento de\u0148 sa raketopl\u00e1n Atlantis odpojil od Medzin\u00e1rodnej vesm\u00edrnej stanice. K odpojeniu do\u0161lo v \u010dase 09:24 UT. Raketopl\u00e1n absolvoval e\u0161te kontroln\u00fd oblet stanice a po dvoch \u00fahybn\u00fdch man\u00e9vroch (v \u010dase 10:42 UT a 11:11 UT) sa op\u00e4\u0165 za\u010dala kontrola stavu tepeln\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00edtu stroja pr\u00edstrojmi OBSS. Po skon\u010den\u00ed kontroly v \u010dase 18:30 UT bola ty\u010d OBSS op\u00e4\u0165 ulo\u017een\u00e1 do n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru. Ve\u010der technici zaregistrovali v\u00fdpadok vyhrievania 4 mal\u00fdch man\u00e9vrovac\u00edch motor\u010dekov v zadnej \u010dasti raketopl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<h3>19. febru\u00e1r (letov\u00fd de\u0148 10)<\/h3>\n<p>Bola zah\u00e1jen\u00e1 kontrola orbitera pred prist\u00e1t\u00edm: sk\u00fa\u0161obn\u00e9 zapnutie \u010derpadla APU (Auxilliary Power Unit), sk\u00fa\u0161ky ovl\u00e1dania aerodynamick\u00fdch prvkov, sk\u00fa\u0161obn\u00fd z\u00e1\u017eih motor\u010dekov RCS. Nastalo tie\u017e upratovanie v kab\u00edne pre pos\u00e1dku, kontrola skafandrov, sklopenie ant\u00e9ny pre Ku p\u00e1smo a jedna tla\u010dov\u00e1 konferencia. Piloti Frick a Poindexter si pribli\u017ene v \u010dase 12:34 za\u010dali oblieka\u0165 \u013eahk\u00e9 skafandre a po ich oble\u010den\u00ed sa prip\u00fatali do svojich kresiel. Ostatn\u00ed \u010dlenovia pos\u00e1dky tak urobili a\u017e nesk\u00f4r. V \u010dase 13:50 dalo riadiace stredisko s\u00fahlas s vykonan\u00edm prist\u00e1vacieho man\u00e9vru. V \u010dase 14:00 bol zah\u00e1jen\u00fd brzdiaci man\u00e9ver motormi OMS. Raketopl\u00e1n sa oto\u010dil do polohy pre vstup do atmosf\u00e9ry, z predn\u00fdch motorov FRCS (Forward Reaction Control System) boli vypusten\u00e9 pohonn\u00e9 hmoty. V \u010dase 14:36 Atlantis vst\u00fapil do hustej\u0161\u00edch vrstiev atmosf\u00e9ry. Nesk\u00f4r za\u010dal s\u00e9riu ot\u00e1\u010dok na zn\u00ed\u017eenie svojej r\u00fdchlosti.
