Bol to pr\u00e1ve on, kto poskytol v\u00e4\u010d\u0161inu n\u00e1dhern\u00fdch obr\u00e1zkov galaxi\u00ed, hmlov\u00edn a hviezdok\u00f4p zdobiacich astronomick\u00e9 knihy a kalend\u00e1re. Za svoju jedine\u010dn\u00fa rozli\u0161ovaciu schopnos\u0165 v\u010fa\u010d\u00ed tomu, \u017ee sa nach\u00e1dza vo vesm\u00edre, mimo ru\u0161iv\u00e9ho vplyvu zemskej atmosf\u00e9ry. HST obieha Zem vo v\u00fd\u0161ke pribli\u017ene 600 km raz za 97 min\u00fat. Tento 11-tonov\u00fd kolos pracuje celkom automaticky, ovl\u00e1dan\u00fd je na dia\u013eku pomocou riadiaceho strediska v Greenbelte. Len z \u010dasu na \u010das \u010falekoh\u013ead potreboval opravu alebo \u00fadr\u017ebu. Tieto potrebn\u00e9 pr\u00e1ce vykon\u00e1vala pos\u00e1dka <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=403\">raketopl\u00e1nu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Hist\u00f3ria<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My\u0161lienka vynies\u0165 \u010falekoh\u013ead nad atmosf\u00e9ru a t\u00fdm odstr\u00e1ni\u0165 jej ru\u0161iv\u00fd vplyv nie je nov\u00e1. O \u010falekoh\u013eade na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he uva\u017eoval nemeck\u00fd raketov\u00fd technik Hermann Oberth u\u017e v roku 1923. Trvalo v\u0161ak ve\u013emi dlho, k\u00fdm sa projekt s p\u00f4vodn\u00fdm n\u00e1zvom Ve\u013ek\u00fd vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead (LST-Large Space Telescope) podarilo uskuto\u010dni\u0165. \u0160t\u00fadia \u010falekoh\u013eadu bola publikovan\u00e1 v roku 1969. U\u017e vtedy bolo mo\u017en\u00e9 vyrobi\u0165 vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead s priemerom 3 metre, ako sa p\u00f4vodne pl\u00e1novalo. Ot\u00e1zkou ost\u00e1val u\u017e len \u010do najlacnej\u0161\u00ed sp\u00f4sob dopravy do vesm\u00edru. NASA sa nakoniec priklonila k <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=403\">projektu raketopl\u00e1nu<\/a>, ktor\u00fd mohol nielen \u010falekoh\u013ead vynies\u0165 na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu, ale zaru\u010di\u0165 aj servisn\u00e9 misie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Osud \u010falekoh\u013eadu bol v\u0161ak st\u00e1le ve\u013emi neist\u00fd. Po vojne vo Vietname potrebovali USA obnovi\u0165 ekonomiku, a tak sa NASA do\u010dkala mnoh\u00fdch finan\u010dn\u00fdch \u0161krtov. Tieto \u0161krty neobi\u0161li ani Ve\u013ek\u00fd vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead, ktor\u00e9ho priemer objekt\u00edvu sa \u201escvrkol\u201c z p\u00f4vodn\u00fdch troch metrov na necel\u00fdch dva a pol metra. Vtedy prestal by\u0165 \u201eve\u013ek\u00fdm\u201c vesm\u00edrnym \u010falekoh\u013eadom a stal sa z neho Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead. V janu\u00e1ri 1986 v\u0161ak do\u0161lo k <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=852\">trag\u00e9dii raketopl\u00e1nu Challenger<\/a>. V\u0161etky lety raketopl\u00e1nov boli pozastaven\u00e9. \u010ealekoh\u013ead musel \u010daka\u0165 v bezpra\u0161nej a klimatizovanej hale e\u0161te \u0161tyri roky.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">HST bol napokon \u00faspe\u0161ne vynesen\u00fd na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu pomocou <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=4113\">raketopl\u00e1nu Discovery<\/a> pri misii <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=5922\">STS-31<\/a>. Ani to sa nezaobi\u0161lo bez probl\u00e9mov. Raketopl\u00e1nu sa podarilo od\u0161tartova\u0165 a\u017e na druh\u00fd pokus. 24. apr\u00edla 1990 sa \u010falekoh\u013ead kone\u010dne dostal do vesm\u00edru. Po starostliv\u00fdch kontrol\u00e1ch a previerkach pos\u00e1dka manipula\u010dnou rukou raketopl\u00e1nu Discovery \u010falekoh\u013ead nadvihla a oto\u010dila. E\u0161te v spojen\u00ed s raketopl\u00e1nom \u010falekoh\u013ead vyklopil svoje sol\u00e1rne panely, aby si s\u00e1m vyr\u00e1bal elektrick\u00fa energiu. Keby nastal z\u00e1va\u017en\u00fd probl\u00e9m, v prechodovej komore raketopl\u00e1nu \u010dakali dvaja astronauti v skafandroch pripraven\u00ed zasiahnu\u0165. To ale nebolo potrebn\u00e9. Manipula\u010dn\u00e1 ruka odpojila \u010falekoh\u013ead. Raketopl\u00e1n z bezpe\u010dnej vzdialenosti sprev\u00e1dzal \u010falekoh\u013ead, k\u00fdm prebehlo otvorenie jeho krytu a technici na \u0148om robili prv\u00e9 sk\u00fa\u0161ky. V pr\u00edpade probl\u00e9mov sa k HST mohol vr\u00e1ti\u0165. Prv\u00e9 testy v\u0161ak vyzerali dobre, a tak Discovery so spokojnou pos\u00e1dkou prist\u00e1l.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Technick\u00fdm probl\u00e9mom v\u0161ak z\u010faleka nebol koniec. Ke\u010f sa v\u0161ak robilo prv\u00e9 sk\u00fa\u0161obn\u00e9 pozorovanie, obr\u00e1zok poch\u00e1dzaj\u00faci od HST bol rozmazan\u00fd. \u010ealekoh\u013ead trpel gu\u013eovou optickou vadou. T\u00fa sa napokon podarilo napravi\u0165 korektorom, ktor\u00fd mu nasadila pos\u00e1dka raketopl\u00e1nu Endeavour pri misii <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=4932\">STS-61<\/a>. In\u00fdmi slovami, \u010falekoh\u013ead dostal okuliare.\u00a0Okrem korektora COSTAR tie\u017e \u010falekoh\u013eadu vymenili gyroskopy, sol\u00e1rne panely a planet\u00e1rnu kameru. Odvtedy HST nieko\u013eko rokov fungoval na jednotku.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V\u0161etko v\u0161ak starne a zvl\u00e1\u0161\u0165 v drsnom prostred\u00ed vesm\u00edru. V roku 1997 HST znova potreboval \u00fadr\u017ebu raketopl\u00e1nom. Tentoraz ho nav\u0161t\u00edvil stroj, ktor\u00fd ho do kozmu vyniesol \u2013 Discovery \u0160tartoval 11. 2. 1997, \u010do bolo dokonca o de\u0148 sk\u00f4r oproti pl\u00e1nu. V priebehu piatich v\u00fdstupov jeho pos\u00e1dka vymenila napr\u00edklad spektrometer a spektrograf, blok d\u00e1tov\u00e9ho rozhrania, magnetof\u00f3n, zotrva\u010dn\u00edky a ovl\u00e1danie ot\u00e1\u010dania sol\u00e1rneho panelu. Astronauti tie\u017e prikryli \u010falekoh\u013ead, aby ho ochr\u00e1nili pred nepriazniv\u00fdmi vplyvmi vesm\u00edru a mikrometeoroidmi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nikto v\u0161ak nevedel, \u017ee gyroskopy alias zotrva\u010dn\u00edky, ktor\u00e9 namontovala pos\u00e1dka druhej servisnej misie, s\u00fa chybn\u00e9. Pri\u0161lo sa na to, a\u017e ke\u010f za\u010dali zlyh\u00e1va\u0165. Hrozilo, \u017ee sa HST stane neovl\u00e1date\u013en\u00fdm a neopravite\u013en\u00fdm. Nasleduj\u00facu pripravovan\u00fa servisn\u00fa misiu bolo preto treba ur\u00fdchli\u0165. A tak sa jej ciele rozdelili medzi dve misie. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=4457\">Prv\u00fa vykonal op\u00e4\u0165 Discovery<\/a>, ktor\u00fd \u0161tartoval 19. 12. 1999 po viacer\u00fdch odkladoch. Cie\u013eom troch v\u00fdstupov pos\u00e1dky bolo nielen vymeni\u0165 chybn\u00e9 gyroskopy, ale aj elektroniku, a tie\u017e nahradi\u0165 jeho star\u00fd po\u010d\u00edta\u010d za nov\u00fd s 10x v\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00edm v\u00fdkonom. Do\u0161lo aj na v\u00fdmenu magnetop\u00e1skovej pam\u00e4te za polovodi\u010dov\u00fa a \u010diasto\u010dn\u00fa in\u0161tal\u00e1ciu tepelnej a protimeteorickej izol\u00e1cie \u010falekoh\u013eadu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nasledovala servisn\u00e1 misia raketopl\u00e1nu Columbia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=3848\">STS-109<\/a> so \u0161tartom 1. 3. 2002. Jej pos\u00e1dka vymenila sol\u00e1rne panely za nov\u00e9. Tie\u017e nahradila rozvodn\u00fa jednotku PCU, ktor\u00e1 pritom nebola na v\u00fdmenu na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he v\u00f4bec stavan\u00e1. Nastala aj v\u00fdmena starej kamery za nov\u00fa, op\u00e4\u0165 v\u00fdmena gyroskopov, a in\u0161tal\u00e1cia nov\u00e9ho chladiaceho syst\u00e9mu pr\u00edstroja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u010ealekoh\u013ead op\u00e4\u0165 pokojne, \u00faspe\u0161ne pozoroval. Stala sa v\u0161ak trag\u00e9dia, ktor\u00e1 rozhodla aj o jeho osude. Pri nasleduj\u00facom lete v roku 2003 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=756\">Columbia havarovala<\/a> a usmrtila cel\u00fa sedem\u010dlenn\u00fa pos\u00e1dku rovnako ako kedysi Challenger. V\u0161etky lety raketopl\u00e1nov, teda aj tie k HST, boli zru\u0161en\u00e9. Po obnove letov riadite\u013e NASA Sean O&#8217;Keefe povolil iba lety k Medzin\u00e1rodnej vesm\u00edrnej stanici. Hrozilo, \u017ee \u010falekoh\u013ead bez servisnej misie \u010doskoro dosl\u00fa\u017ei. Po tlaku zo strany vedcov aj be\u017en\u00fdch \u013eud\u00ed v\u0161ak dal nov\u00fd riadite\u013e NASA Michael D. Griffin zelen\u00fa poslednej servisnej misii k HST. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=1872\">Vykonal ju raketopl\u00e1n, ktor\u00fd e\u0161te tento stroj nenav\u0161t\u00edvil \u2013 Atlantis<\/a>. Ke\u010f 11. 5. 2009 vzlietol, na druhej rampe st\u00e1l z\u00e1chrann\u00fd raketopl\u00e1n, ktor\u00fd by v pr\u00edpade \u0165a\u017ek\u00e9ho po\u0161kodenia Atlantisu priletel pos\u00e1dke na pomoc. V priebehu poslednej servisnej misie astronauti vymenili star\u00fa kameru za nov\u00fa, vymenili gyroskopy, bat\u00e9rie, tepeln\u00fa izol\u00e1ciu a opravili spektrograf. Najprekvapivej\u0161ie v\u0161ak znie, \u017ee odstr\u00e1nili COSTAR, \u010di\u017ee Hubblove okuliare. Hubble ich u\u017e nepotreboval, lebo v\u0161etky nov\u00e9 pr\u00edstroje u\u017e mali korek\u010dn\u00fa optiku zabudovan\u00fa v sebe. Na miesto COSTAR-u namontovali nov\u00fd spektrograf. Misia zanechala \u010falekoh\u013ead lep\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e nov\u00fd a umo\u017enila mu robi\u0165 \u010fal\u0161ie objavy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raketopl\u00e1ny u\u017e nelietaj\u00fa. HST pracuje dodnes. Jeho osud, silne zviazan\u00fd s osudom raketopl\u00e1nov, je v\u0161ak tie\u017e spe\u010daten\u00fd. \u010ealekoh\u013ead v najbli\u017e\u0161\u00edch rokoch dosl\u00fa\u017ei kv\u00f4li zlyhaniu gyroskopov \u010di in\u00fdch pr\u00edstrojov. A ak bude ma\u0165 \u0161\u0165astie a jeho zariadenia vydr\u017eia funk\u010dn\u00e9, aj tak neunikne \u010fal\u0161ej hrozbe v\u0161etk\u00fdch dru\u017e\u00edc na n\u00edzkych obe\u017en\u00fdch dr\u00e1hach \u2013 zhoreniu v atmosf\u00e9re. HST toti\u017e nem\u00e1 motor, ktor\u00fdm by si zvy\u0161oval obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu. O k\u00fasok vy\u0161\u0161ie ho po\u010das ka\u017edej servisnej misie vyniesol raketopl\u00e1n. Ale hoci obieha vysoko, osamel\u00e9 \u010dastice zemskej atmosf\u00e9ry do\u0148 aj tak vr\u00e1\u017eaj\u00fa a ka\u017ed\u00e1 zr\u00e1\u017eka ho nepatrne spomal\u00ed.
