Jej cie\u013eom bolo vynesenie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=4742\">Hubblovho vesm\u00edrneho \u010falekoh\u013eadu<\/a> (HST) na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu.<\/p>\n<h2>Pos\u00e1dka<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Loren James Shriver (velite\u013e)<\/li>\n<li>Charles Frank Bolden (pilot)<\/li>\n<li>Bruce McCandless (prv\u00fd letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<li>Steven Alan Hawley (druh\u00fd letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<li>Kathryn Dwyer Sullivanov\u00e1 (tret\u00ed letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Zrodenie projektu<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My\u0161lienka vynies\u0165 \u010falekoh\u013ead nad atmosf\u00e9ru a t\u00fdm odstr\u00e1ni\u0165 jej ru\u0161iv\u00fd vplyv nie je nov\u00e1. V\u00fdhody, ktor\u00e9 by mal \u010falekoh\u013ead na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he, si uvedomil nemeck\u00fd raketov\u00fd technik Hermann Oberth u\u017e v roku 1923. Trvalo v\u0161ak ve\u013emi dlho, k\u00fdm sa projekt s p\u00f4vodn\u00fdm n\u00e1zvom Ve\u013ek\u00fd vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead (LST-Large Space Telescope) podarilo uskuto\u010dni\u0165. \u0160t\u00fadia \u010falekoh\u013eadu bola publikovan\u00e1 v roku 1969. U\u017e vtedy bolo mo\u017en\u00e9 vyrobi\u0165 vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead s priemerom 3 metre, ako sa p\u00f4vodne pl\u00e1novalo, ot\u00e1zkou ost\u00e1val u\u017e len \u010do najlacnej\u0161\u00ed sp\u00f4sob dopravy do vesm\u00edru. NASA sa nakoniec priklonila k projektu raketopl\u00e1nu, ktor\u00fd mohol nielen \u010falekoh\u013ead vynies\u0165 na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu, ale zaru\u010di\u0165 aj servisn\u00e9 misie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Osud \u010falekoh\u013eadu bol v\u0161ak st\u00e1le ve\u013emi neist\u00fd. Po vojne vo Vietname potrebovali USA obnovi\u0165 ekonomiku, a tak sa NASA do\u010dkala mnoh\u00fdch finan\u010dn\u00fdch \u0161krtov. Tieto \u0161krty neobi\u0161li ani Ve\u013ek\u00fd vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead, ktor\u00e9ho priemer objekt\u00edvu sa \u201escvrkol\u201c z p\u00f4vodn\u00fdch troch metrov na necel\u00fdch dva a pol metra. Vtedy prestal by\u0165 \u201eve\u013ek\u00fdm\u201c vesm\u00edrnym \u010falekoh\u013eadom a stal sa z neho Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead. Po mnohoro\u010dnom \u00fasil\u00ed bol nakoniec projekt schv\u00e1len\u00fd v roku 1977, teda e\u0161te pred vypusten\u00edm prv\u00e9ho raketopl\u00e1nu. \u0160tart \u010falekoh\u013eadu sa predpokladal na rok 1983.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pri realiz\u00e1cii projektu sa v\u0161ak zjavilo mno\u017estvo technick\u00fdch a finan\u010dn\u00fdch probl\u00e9mov, preto bol \u0161tart postupne ods\u00favan\u00fd a\u017e na august 1986. V janu\u00e1ri 1986 v\u0161ak do\u0161lo k <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=852\">trag\u00e9dii raketopl\u00e1nu Challenger<\/a>. V\u0161etky lety raketopl\u00e1nov boli pozastaven\u00e9 a \u010falekoh\u013ead musel \u010daka\u0165 v bezpra\u0161nej a klimatizovanej hale e\u0161te \u0161tyri roky.<\/p>\n<h2>Pr\u00edpravy na \u0161tart<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raketopl\u00e1n Discovery, ktor\u00fd mal \u010falekoh\u013ead vynies\u0165, str\u00e1vil po n\u00e1vrate zo svojej predch\u00e1dzaj\u00facej misie STS-33 tri mesiace v pr\u00edpravnom hang\u00e1ri Orbiter Processing Facility. Tu na \u0148om boli vykon\u00e1van\u00e9 \u00fapravy, \u00fadr\u017eba, pr\u00edpravy na let a kontrola jednotliv\u00fdch syst\u00e9mov. Spo\u010diatku sa po\u010d\u00edtalo so \u0161tartom u\u017e koncom febru\u00e1ra, av\u0161ak nako\u013eko sa nevykonali v\u0161etky merania tesnenia medzi zadn\u00fdm segmentom a tryskou motoru SRB, bolo treba z opatrnosti \u0161tart odlo\u017ei\u0165. Pr\u00e1ve netesnos\u0165 spoja motorov SRB bola pr\u00ed\u010dinou trag\u00e9die Challengera. Do mont\u00e1\u017enej haly Vehicle Assembly Building sa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=468\">orbiter<\/a> Discovery premiestnil 5. marca. Stadia\u013e vyrazil 16. marca na \u0161tartovac\u00ed komplex 39-B. \u010ealekoh\u013ead dorazil na rampu 25. marca, len\u017ee vyskytli sa prv\u00e9 probl\u00e9my. Ke\u010f mal by\u0165 umiestnen\u00fd do tzv. \u201ebielej izby\u201c (klimatizovan\u00e1 hala v bl\u00edzkosti raketopl\u00e1nu, ofici\u00e1lne Payload Changeout Room), v dver\u00e1ch do n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru sa vyskytli moskyty. Pou\u017eitie insektic\u00eddov v bl\u00edzkosti tak\u00e9ho citliv\u00e9ho zariadenia ako Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead neprich\u00e1dzalo do \u00favahy, a tak bol hmyz vychytan\u00fd do sveteln\u00fdch pasc\u00ed. A\u017e po vyrie\u0161en\u00ed probl\u00e9mu s moskytmi mohol by\u0165 \u010falekoh\u013ead vlo\u017een\u00fd do n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru. Stalo sa tak 29. marca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">D\u00e1tum \u0161tartu bol stanoven\u00fd na 10. apr\u00edla. V\u0161etko prebiehalo relat\u00edvne hladko a\u017e do \u010dasu T-5 min\u00fat. Palivov\u00fd elektromagneticky poh\u00e1\u0148an\u00fd ventil jednotky APU sa ale zasekol v plne otvorenej polohe a sp\u00f4sobil, \u017ee turb\u00edna poh\u00e1\u0148aj\u00faca toto \u010derpadlo sa rozbehla na pr\u00edli\u0161 vysok\u00e9 obr\u00e1tky. Aj ke\u010f to nebola z\u00e1va\u017en\u00e1 chyba, bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9 pravidl\u00e1 hovorili jasne: Odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie je nutn\u00e9 preru\u0161i\u0165. Bolo nutn\u00e9 vymeni\u0165 cel\u00fd syst\u00e9m APU. \u0160tart tak bol prelo\u017een\u00fd na 25. apr\u00edla. Pred\u013a\u017een\u00fd odklad zapr\u00ed\u010dinila \u010fal\u0161ia komplik\u00e1cia: akumul\u00e1torov\u00e9 bat\u00e9rie z HST bolo treba vybra\u0165 a op\u00e4\u0165 dobi\u0165.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">25. apr\u00edla do\u0161lo op\u00e4\u0165 k preru\u0161eniu odpo\u010d\u00edtavania. Tentoraz sa v\u0161ak jednalo len o mal\u00fa chybu v programe a po troch min\u00fatach sa odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie rozbehlo znova. O 12.33.51 UT z\u00e1\u017eihom motorov SRB \u0161tart \u00faspe\u0161ne za\u010dal.<\/p>\n<h2>Priebeh letu<\/h2>\n<h3>Navedenie na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu a pr\u00edpravy na vypustenie \u010falekoh\u013eadu<\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_5853\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 300px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/518px-1990_s31_HST_Bay.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5853 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/518px-1990_s31_HST_Bay-300x279.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/518px-1990_s31_HST_Bay-300x279.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/518px-1990_s31_HST_Bay.jpg 517w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead po vytiahnut\u00ed z n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V \u010dase T +2 min 06 sek\u00fand sa pod\u013ea pl\u00e1nu oddelili motory SRB. Z\u00e1\u017eih motorov OMS na dobu 3 min 23 sek\u00fand vyniesol dru\u017eicov\u00fd stupe\u0148 raketopl\u00e1nu na takmer kruhov\u00fa dr\u00e1hu vo v\u00fd\u0161ke 576-611 km. Po druhom oblete Charles Bolden otvoril dvere do n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru a mohlo sa \u00faspe\u0161ne za\u010da\u0165 vykladanie \u010falekoh\u013eadu. Najprv sa vysk\u00fa\u0161ala funk\u010dnos\u0165 manipul\u00e1toru RMS a pomocou telev\u00edznych kamier pos\u00e1dka overila, \u010di sa \u010falekoh\u013ead po\u010das \u0161tartu nepo\u0161kodil. McCandless a Sullivanov\u00e1 sa za\u010dali pripravova\u0165 na pr\u00edpadn\u00fd v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru, ktor\u00fd v\u0161ak nebol potrebn\u00fd, ke\u010f\u017ee i\u0161lo v\u0161etko pod\u013ea pl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<h3>Vypustenie \u010falekoh\u013eadu<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V \u010dase 17.21 UT bol vyslan\u00fd povel na aktiv\u00e1ciu palubn\u00fdch vysiela\u010dov na HST. T\u00fdm p\u00e1dom staros\u0165 o \u010falekoh\u013ead prebralo asi tristo technikov riadiaceho strediska Space Telescope Operations Control Center. V \u010dase T +7 h 09 min z\u00e1\u017eihom motorov OMS Discovery \u010fal\u0161\u00edm man\u00e9vrom pre\u0161iel na dr\u00e1hu 613-615 km. I\u0161lo o dovtedy najvy\u0161\u0161iu dr\u00e1hu letu raketopl\u00e1nu. Na novej dr\u00e1he sa astronauti mohli venova\u0165 \u010fal\u0161\u00edm experimentom a odpo\u010dinku. Povel na za\u010datie vlastn\u00e9ho vyp\u00fa\u0161\u0165ania HST dostala pos\u00e1dka Discovery od houstonsk\u00e9ho strediska o 10.37 UT. Pre vypustenie na samostatn\u00fa dr\u00e1hu bolo treba \u010falekoh\u013ead najprv opatrne vyzdvihn\u00fa\u0165 asi 4,5 metra nad \u00farove\u0148 Discovery a potom ho oto\u010di\u0165 tak, aby sa t\u00e1to jeho naj\u0165a\u017e\u0161ia \u010das\u0165 dostala nad pilotn\u00fa palubu raketopl\u00e1nu a aby tubus \u010falekoh\u013eadu, dosia\u013e uzavren\u00fd, mieril nad k\u00fdlov\u00fa plochu kozmick\u00e9ho lietadla. Naj\u0165a\u017e\u0161ia \u010das\u0165 man\u00e9vru nastala hne\u010f na samom za\u010diatku oper\u00e1cie, ke\u010f astronauti stratili priamy v\u00fdh\u013ead na \u010falekoh\u013ead a mohli sa riadi\u0165 len z\u00e1bermi piatich kamier a pomocou s\u00faradn\u00edc palubn\u00e9ho po\u010d\u00edta\u010da. Hawley obsluhoval manipul\u00e1tor RMS a McCandless a Sullivanov\u00e1 boli pripraven\u00ed vyst\u00fapi\u0165 do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru. Raketopl\u00e1n bol v priebehu vyp\u00fa\u0161\u0165ania orientovan\u00fd bruchom do smeru letu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Len \u010do bol \u010falekoh\u013ead spr\u00e1vne orientovan\u00fd, vyslalo stredisko v Greenbelte povel na vyklopenie 4,8 m dlh\u00fdch puzdier so slne\u010dn\u00fdmi panelmi. Spr\u00e1vna \u010dinnos\u0165 slne\u010dn\u00fdch panelov bola pre \u00faspe\u0161nos\u0165 HST \u017eivotne d\u00f4le\u017eit\u00e1. Aj ke\u010f sa zdalo, \u017ee panely sa vyklopili spr\u00e1vne, telemetria nepotvrdila ukon\u010denie vys\u00favania. K ozn\u00e1meniu ukon\u010denia vys\u00favania nedo\u0161lo ani po vysunut\u00ed 610 cm dlh\u00fdch kr\u00eddel panelov. Kr\u00eddla panelu v\u0161ak neboli vysunut\u00e9 \u00faplne. Riadiace stredisko dalo Sullivanovej a McCandlessovi pr\u00edkaz na presunutie sa do prechodovej komory, aby z\u00e1vadu odstr\u00e1nili. Po vypojen\u00ed poistky mechanick\u00e9ho pre\u0165a\u017eenia a \u010fal\u0161om pokuse o 18:59 UT sa vys\u00favanie panelov podarilo aj bez z\u00e1sahu Sullivanovej a McCandlessa.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5852\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 300px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/492px-Hubble_Solar_Array_Deployment_STS-31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5852\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/492px-Hubble_Solar_Array_Deployment_STS-31-300x293.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/492px-Hubble_Solar_Array_Deployment_STS-31-300x293.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/492px-Hubble_Solar_Array_Deployment_STS-31.jpg 492w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Roztiahnutie sol\u00e1rnych panelov<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O 19:39 UT Hawley uvo\u013enil \u00fachytku na manipul\u00e1tore RMS a Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead pre\u0161iel na samostatn\u00fa dr\u00e1hu. Stalo sa tak nad Galap\u00e1gami. Tridsa\u0165 sek\u00fand po vypusten\u00ed Shriver odman\u00e9vroval raketopl\u00e1n do 75 metrovej vzdialenosti od \u010falekoh\u013eadu. Nasledoval presun do poz\u00edcie 180 m nad \u010falekoh\u013ead. \u010eal\u0161\u00edm man\u00e9vrom piloti previedli Discovery na tak\u00fa dr\u00e1hu, aby sledoval HST zo vzdialenosti okolo 100 km. Odtia\u013e sa raketopl\u00e1n mohol kedyko\u013evek vr\u00e1ti\u0165 k \u010falekoh\u013eadu, pokia\u013e by bol e\u0161te nutn\u00fd priamy z\u00e1sah astronautov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">S otvoren\u00edm krytu \u010falekoh\u013eadu sa po\u010d\u00edtalo 32 hod\u00edn po vypusten\u00ed. Kryt sa podarilo \u00faspe\u0161ne otvori\u0165 a\u017e na druh\u00fd de\u0148. Prv\u00e9mu pokusu zabr\u00e1nil palubn\u00fd po\u010d\u00edta\u010d \u010falekoh\u013eadu, ktor\u00fd uviedol pr\u00edstroj do tzv. bezpe\u010dnostn\u00e9ho m\u00f3du. Po druhom pokuse u\u017e Houston mohol otvorenie potvrdi\u0165 pos\u00e1dke raketopl\u00e1nu. Story Musgrave, ktor\u00fd bol v tejto chv\u00edli opr\u00e1vnen\u00fd hovori\u0165 s pos\u00e1dkou raketopl\u00e1nu, jej to ozn\u00e1mil slovami: &#8222;Discovery, Hubble otvoril kr\u00e1m!&#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ke\u010f\u017ee bolo v\u0161etko v poriadku, o 19.05 UT raketopl\u00e1n pre\u0161iel na samostatn\u00fa dr\u00e1hu. Pos\u00e1dka po tomto man\u00e9vri kamerou IMAX sn\u00edmkovala Mexick\u00fd z\u00e1liv, samotn\u00e9 Mexiko, Peru a braz\u00edlsko-paraguaysk\u00e9 pohrani\u010die. Po\u010das nasleduj\u00faceho d\u0148a, 28. apr\u00edla, sa astronauti venovali pr\u00edprav\u00e1m na prist\u00e1tie.<\/p>\n<h3>Prist\u00e1tie<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">29. apr\u00edla o 12.37.26 UT pri prelete nad ju\u017en\u00fdm c\u00edpom Afriky za\u017eihli Shriver a Bolden obidva motory OMS na dobu 4 min 48 sek\u00fand. V \u010dase 13.19.21 UT vst\u00fapil Discovery do atmosf\u00e9ry a na prist\u00e1vaciu dr\u00e1hu na Edwards Air Force Base dosadol o 13.49 UT.
