Po\u010das misie prebehlo 5 v\u00fdstupov do otvoren\u00e9ho vesm\u00edru (EVA), v priebehu ktor\u00fdch \u010dlenovia pos\u00e1dky vymenili niektor\u00e9 \u010dasti \u010falekoh\u013eadu a nain\u0161talovali nov\u00e9. Raketopl\u00e1n v \u010dase ukotvenia \u010falekoh\u013eadu vo svojom n\u00e1kladovom priestore zv\u00fd\u0161il jeho obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu z\u00e1\u017eihom svojich motorov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">N\u00e1sledkom mont\u00e1\u017ee gyroskopov so s\u00fa\u010diastkami r\u00fdchlo podliehaj\u00facimi kor\u00f3zii po\u010das tejto misie musela by\u0165 \u010fal\u0161ia servisn\u00e1 misia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=4457\">STS-103<\/a>, vyslan\u00e1 r\u00fdchlej\u0161ie, ne\u017e sa pl\u00e1novalo.<\/p>\n<h2>Pos\u00e1dka\u200b<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Kenneth D. Bowersox (4), Velite\u013e<\/li>\n<li>Scott J. Horowitz (2), Pilot<\/li>\n<li>Mark C. Lee (4), Prv\u00fd letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista<\/li>\n<li>Steven A. Tanner (2), Piaty letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>V z\u00e1tvork\u00e1ch je uveden\u00fd celkov\u00fd po\u010det letov do vesm\u00edru vr\u00e1tane tejto misie.<\/p>\n<h2>Priebeh letu\u200b<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u0160tart raketopl\u00e1nu Discovery z rampy 39-A na Kennedyho vesm\u00edrnom stredisku sa uskuto\u010dnil 11. febru\u00e1ra 1997 v \u010dase 03:55:17 miestneho (v\u00fdchodoamerick\u00e9ho) \u010dasu (08:55:17 UT). Odpo\u010d\u00edtavanie prebiehalo bez probl\u00e9mov, \u0161tart sa uskuto\u010dnil dokonca o jeden de\u0148 sk\u00f4r oproti pl\u00e1nu. Okam\u017eite po naveden\u00ed na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu vo v\u00fd\u0161ke 557\u2013580 km za\u010dal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=468\">dru\u017eicov\u00fd stupe\u0148 raketopl\u00e1nu<\/a> st\u00edha\u0165 \u010falekoh\u013ead. Pred o\u010dak\u00e1van\u00fdm stretnut\u00edm Discovery s \u010falekoh\u013eadom prebiehali predov\u0161etk\u00fdm kontroly a pr\u00edpravy manipul\u00e1toru RMS a n\u00e1radia. Astronaut Hawley kamerou skontroloval v\u0161etky zariadenia umiestnen\u00e9 v n\u00e1kladovom priestore. Po\u010das druh\u00e9ho letov\u00e9ho d\u0148a, 12. febru\u00e1ra sa v kab\u00edne raketopl\u00e1nu zni\u017eoval tlak ako s\u00fa\u010das\u0165 pr\u00edprav na v\u00fdstup astronautov do otvoren\u00e9ho vesm\u00edru.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zachytenie \u010falekoh\u013eadu sa uskuto\u010dnilo 13. febru\u00e1ra. Teleskop bol na zachytenie pripraven\u00fd &#8211; mal zavret\u00fd kryt optiky a v\u0161etky jeho ant\u00e9ny boli v bezpe\u010dnostnej polohe. V \u010dase 08:34 UT uchopil astronaut Hawley \u010falekoh\u013ead manipula\u010dn\u00fdm ramenom raketopl\u00e1nu. Kr\u00e1tko pred 09:00 UT bol teleskop upevnen\u00fd v l\u00f4\u017eku FSS v n\u00e1kladovom priestore Discovery. Vz\u00e1p\u00e4t\u00ed Hawley vykonal vizu\u00e1lnu in\u0161pekciu povrchu \u010falekoh\u013eadu pomocou telev\u00edznej kamery na konci manipul\u00e1toru RMS.<\/p>\n<h3>EVA-1\u200b<\/h3>\n<div id=\"attachment_6317\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 207px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/414px-STS-82_Discovery_on_Mobile_Launcher_Platform.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6317\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/414px-STS-82_Discovery_on_Mobile_Launcher_Platform-207x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/414px-STS-82_Discovery_on_Mobile_Launcher_Platform-207x300.jpg 207w, https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/414px-STS-82_Discovery_on_Mobile_Launcher_Platform.jpg 414w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Zostava ET, SRB a orbitera Discovery pri prevoze na \u0161tartovac\u00ed komplex<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">14. febru\u00e1ra v \u010dase 04:35 UT zah\u00e1jila dvojica astronautov Lee a Smith prv\u00fd v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru. Po\u010das prvej hodiny v\u00fdstupu pripravovali n\u00e1radie a na koniec manipul\u00e1toru RMS nain\u0161talovali \u00fachytky na nohy. Prv\u00e1 \u00faloha v\u00fdstupu bola nahradi\u0165 p\u00f4vodn\u00fd spektrometer GHRS (Goddard High Resolution Spectrograph) za nov\u00fd pr\u00edstroj STIS (Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph), ktor\u00fd umo\u017enil \u010falekoh\u013eadu z\u00edskava\u0165 30-kr\u00e1t viac \u00fadajov z 500-kr\u00e1t \u0161ir\u0161ieho p\u00e1sma frekvenci\u00ed. Lee vliezol dovn\u00fatra \u010falekoh\u013eadu, odpojil k\u00e1ble od GHRS a s pomocou svojho kolegu vytiahol GHRS von. Po proviz\u00f3rnom ulo\u017een\u00ed GHRS v n\u00e1kladovom priestore Smith uvo\u013enil STIS a zasunul ho do \u010falekoh\u013eadu. Po skon\u010den\u00ed tejto oper\u00e1cie sa Lee vr\u00e1til dovn\u00fatra \u010falekoh\u013eadu, skontroloval usadenie pr\u00edstroja a pripojil zost\u00e1vaj\u00face k\u00e1ble. GHRS bol potom ulo\u017een\u00fd do kontajnera, v ktorom sa vr\u00e1til na Zem. \u00dalohou druhej \u010dasti v\u00fdstupu bola v\u00fdmena FOS (Faint Object Spectrograph) za NICMOS (Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer). NICMOS bol n\u00e1hradou za p\u00f4vodn\u00fa kameru FOS a skladal sa z troch kamier pre r\u00f4zne vlnov\u00e9 d\u013a\u017eky. Jeho mont\u00e1\u017e prebiehala podobne ako v\u00fdmena GHRS za STIS. Po otestovan\u00ed pr\u00edstrojov povelmi zo Zeme bol pr\u00edstrojov\u00fd \u00fasek uzavret\u00fd. Dvojica astronautov sa vr\u00e1tila do prechodovej komory v \u010dase 11:16 UT. V\u00fdstup trval 6 hod\u00edn 42 min\u00fat.<\/p>\n<h3>EVA-2\u200b<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Druh\u00fd v\u00fdstup do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru prebehol nasleduj\u00faci de\u0148, \u010di\u017ee 15. febru\u00e1ra. Absolvovala ho dvojica Harbaugh a Tanner. Ofici\u00e1lny za\u010diatok v\u00fdstupu nastal v \u010dase 03:25 UT. V priebehu v\u00fdstupu vymenili nefunk\u010dn\u00fd senzor FGS, magnetof\u00f3n ESTR-2 a nain\u0161talovali nov\u00e9 zariadenie OCE-EK (Optical Control Electronics Enhancement Kit). Astronauti tie\u017e kon\u0161tatovali zna\u010dn\u00e9 po\u0161kodenie f\u00f3li\u00ed tepelnej izol\u00e1cie chr\u00e1niacej niektor\u00e9 diely \u010falekoh\u013eadu, sp\u00f4soben\u00e9 sedemro\u010dn\u00fdm pobytom vo vesm\u00edre. V priebehu v\u00fdstupu sa dvadsa\u0165min\u00fatov\u00fdm z\u00e1\u017eihom motorov zv\u00fd\u0161ila dr\u00e1ha raketopl\u00e1nu, a rovnako aj \u010falekoh\u013eadu, o 3,3 km, aby sa zv\u00fd\u0161ila \u017eivotnos\u0165 \u010falekoh\u013eadu na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he. V\u00fdstup bol zakon\u010den\u00fd v \u010dase 10:52 UT a trval 7 hod\u00edn 27 min\u00fat.<\/p>\n<h3>EVA-3\u200b<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Po\u010das \u0161iesteho letov\u00e9ho d\u0148a sa uskuto\u010dnil tret\u00ed v\u00fdstup do kozmu, ktor\u00fd absolvovala dvojica Lee a Smith. Po\u010das v\u00fdstupu vymenili DIU-2 (Data Interface Unit-2 (DIU-2)) &#8211; blok d\u00e1tov\u00e9ho rozhrania pre prenos \u00fadajov medzi vedeck\u00fdmi pr\u00edstrojmi a slu\u017eobnou \u010das\u0165ou observat\u00f3ria. Okrem toho nahradili jeden magnetof\u00f3n ESTR (Engineering\/Science Tape Recorder) polovodi\u010dov\u00fdm SSR (Solid State Recorder), ktor\u00fd m\u00e1 desa\u0165kr\u00e1t v\u00e4\u010d\u0161iu kapacitu. Nakoniec e\u0161te vymenili jeden zo \u0161tyroch stabiliza\u010dn\u00fdch zotrva\u010dn\u00edkov RWA (Reaction Wheel Assembly). Po\u010das v\u00fdstupu bola op\u00e4\u0165 zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e1 dr\u00e1ha \u010falekoh\u013eadu. V\u00fdstup sa skon\u010dil v \u010dase 10:04 UT po 7 hodin\u00e1ch a 11 min\u00fatach.<\/p>\n<h3>EVA-4\u200b<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">17. febru\u00e1ra v \u010dase 03:45 UT za\u010dal \u0161tvrt\u00fd v\u00fdstup do kozmu, ktor\u00fd absolvovali Harbaugh a Tanner. Najprv vymenili ovl\u00e1danie nat\u00e1\u010dania sol\u00e1rneho panelu SADE (Solar Array Drive Electronics). Prv\u00fd bol vymenen\u00fd u\u017e po\u010das prvej \u00fadr\u017eb\u00e1rskej misie. Potom sa obaja astronauti presunuli k \u0161pi\u010dke \u010falekoh\u013eadu, kde nain\u0161talovali nov\u00e9 ochrann\u00e9 prikr\u00fdvky magnetometra MSS (Magnetic Sensing System). Tento pr\u00edstroj sl\u00fa\u017ei na hrub\u00e9 ur\u010denie orient\u00e1cie \u010falekoh\u013eadu v magnetickom poli Zeme. V okol\u00ed tienidla tie\u017e prikryli \u010das\u0165 zni\u010denej tepelnej izol\u00e1cie nieko\u013ekovrstvov\u00fdm materi\u00e1lom. Po\u010das ich pr\u00e1ce z\u00e1rove\u0148 velite\u013e a pilot pripravovali \u010fal\u0161ie z\u00e1platy, ktor\u00e9 mali sl\u00fa\u017ei\u0165 na pokrytie po\u0161koden\u00ed n\u00e1jden\u00fdch po\u010das druh\u00e9ho v\u00fdstupu. Vedci sa toti\u017e ob\u00e1vali, \u017ee po\u0161kodenia n\u00e1jden\u00e9 v tepelnej izol\u00e1cii \u010falekoh\u013eadu m\u00f4\u017eu sp\u00f4sobi\u0165 ne\u017eiaduce odrazy svetla a predov\u0161etk\u00fdm lok\u00e1lne prehriatie citliv\u00fdch pr\u00edstrojov. 18. febru\u00e1ra v \u010dase 03:15 UT teda Lee a Smith op\u00e4\u0165 vyst\u00fapili do otvoren\u00e9ho priestoru. Na po\u0161koden\u00e9 miesta pripevnili \u0161es\u0165 z\u00e1plat vyroben\u00fdch z kusu f\u00f3lie, dr\u00f4tu, svoriek, plastick\u00fdch povr\u00e1zkov a pad\u00e1kov\u00fdch \u0161n\u00far. V\u00fdstup skon\u010dil v \u010dase 08:32 UT a trval 5 hod\u00edn 17 min\u00fat. Na jeho konci sa objavila falo\u0161n\u00e1 signaliz\u00e1cia o poruche jedn\u00e9ho zo zotrva\u010dn\u00edkov. Chyba v\u0161ak bola len v signaliz\u00e1cii.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Po \u010fal\u0161om zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed dr\u00e1hy komplexu a \u00faspe\u0161nom ukon\u010den\u00ed z\u00e1vere\u010dn\u00fdch kontrol mohol by\u0165 Hubblov vesm\u00edrny \u010falekoh\u013ead op\u00e4\u0165 vypusten\u00fd. Steve Hawley vyzdvihol teleskop z n\u00e1kladov\u00e9ho priestoru a v \u010dase 06:41 UT ho uvo\u013enil z manipul\u00e1tora. Jeho dr\u00e1ha bola teraz zhruba o 10 km vy\u0161\u0161ie ako pred stretnut\u00edm s raketopl\u00e1nom. Po \u00fahybnom man\u00e9vri sa Discovery od \u010falekoh\u013eadu vzdialil. Po\u010das desiateho letov\u00e9ho d\u0148a (20. febru\u00e1ra) prebiehali pr\u00edpravy na prist\u00e1tie a tradi\u010dn\u00e1 konferencia.<\/p>\n<h3>Prist\u00e1tie\u200b<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raketopl\u00e1n Discovery prist\u00e1l v noci na dr\u00e1he 15 Kennedyho vesm\u00edrneho strediska. I\u0161lo o deviate no\u010dn\u00e9 prist\u00e1tie raketopl\u00e1nu na Floride.
