Na rozdiel od <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=852\">trag\u00e9die raketopl\u00e1nu Challenger<\/a> nastala hav\u00e1ria Columbie nie pri \u0161tarte, ale pri jej prist\u00e1van\u00ed, v okamihu, ke\u010f u\u017e do bezpe\u010dn\u00e9ho prist\u00e1tia ost\u00e1valo iba 16 min\u00fat.<\/p>\n<h2>Pos\u00e1dka<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=7631\">Pos\u00e1dka raketopl\u00e1nu Columbia<\/a> bola vymenovan\u00e1 u\u017e v roku 2000. \u010clenovia pos\u00e1dky boli:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Richard D. Husband (velite\u013e)<\/li>\n<li>William C. McCool (pilot)<\/li>\n<li>David M. Brown (prv\u00fd letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<li>Kalpana Chawlaov\u00e1 (druh\u00fd letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<li>Michael P. Anderson (tret\u00ed letov\u00fd \u0161pecialista)<\/li>\n<li>Laurel B. O 14:03 SE\u010c zah\u00e1jila ni\u010d netu\u0161iaca pos\u00e1dka prist\u00e1vac\u00ed man\u00e9ver. S dosadnut\u00edm stroja na prist\u00e1vaciu dr\u00e1hu Kennedyho kozmick\u00e9ho strediska sa po\u010d\u00edtalo o 15:16 SE\u010c. Raketopl\u00e1n bol oto\u010den\u00fd motormi dopredu a o 14: 15: 30 bol preveden\u00fd stop\u00e4\u0165desiatosemsekundov\u00fd z\u00e1\u017eih motorov OMS. Potom piloti oto\u010dili Columbiu sp\u00e4\u0165 do p\u00f4vodnej polohy, \u010di\u017ee &#8222;nosom&#8220; dopredu. Z blokov FRCS boli vypusten\u00e9 zvy\u0161ky pohonn\u00fdch hm\u00f4t. Raketopl\u00e1n vst\u00fapil do vrchn\u00fdch vrstiev <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=6627\">atmosf\u00e9ry<\/a>, kde ho za\u010dala postupne obklopova\u0165 \u017eerav\u00e1 plazma. T\u00e1to plazma s teplotou presahuj\u00facou 1000\u00b0C vznik\u00e1 tren\u00edm riedkych vrstiev vzduchu o povrch raketopl\u00e1nu. Raketopl\u00e1n (presnej\u0161ie <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=468\">orbiter<\/a>) je v\u0161ak proti nej chr\u00e1nen\u00fd vrstvou izola\u010dn\u00fdch do\u0161ti\u010diek. Za ofici\u00e1lny \u010das vstupu do atmosf\u00e9ry sa pova\u017euje \u010das 14:44 SE\u010c. Zatia\u013e v\u0161etko prebiehalo pod\u013ea pl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O 14:49 Columbia zah\u00e1jila pravoto\u010div\u00fa ot\u00e1\u010dku &#8211; man\u00e9ver na zn\u00ed\u017eenie r\u00fdchlosti. V \u010dase 14:49 nieko\u013eko \u010didiel zaregistrovalo slab\u00fd n\u00e1rast teploty. O 14:52 zaregistrovali mierny n\u00e1rast teploty aj \u010didl\u00e1 v hydraulickom syst\u00e9me b\u0155zd \u013eav\u00e9ho podvozku. V nasleduj\u00facich chv\u00ed\u013each do\u0161lo k strate \u00fadajov z \u010didiel. Teplota r\u00e1stla v celom kr\u00eddle a v celej podvozkovej \u0161achte. Tieto \u00fadaje riadiace stredisko zaregistrovalo, ale nevenovalo im zvl\u00e1\u0161tnu pozornos\u0165. Potom do\u0161lo k strate \u00fadajov o tlaku aj v pneumatik\u00e1ch \u013eav\u00e9ho podvozku. T\u00fato skuto\u010dnos\u0165 u\u017e mohla znamena\u0165 v\u00e1\u017enu z\u00e1vadu, st\u00e1le v\u0161ak mohlo \u00eds\u0165 len o poruchu komunik\u00e1cie. Riadiace stredisko si to v\u0161ak chcelo overi\u0165: &#8222;Columbia, tu je Houston,&#8220; povedal capcom riadiaceho strediska Charles Hobaugh, &#8222;pozer\u00e1me sa tu na hodnoty tlaku v pneumatik\u00e1ch a posledn\u00e9 sme nedostali.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8222;Rozumiem&#8230;&#8220; stihol e\u0161te poveda\u0165 velite\u013e Rick Housband a vyslovil e\u0161te za\u010diatok \u010fal\u0161ieho slova. Ak\u00e9ho, to sa u\u017e nikto nikdy nedozvedel, preto\u017ee v tej chv\u00edli bolo s raketopl\u00e1nom preru\u0161en\u00e9 v\u0161etko spojenie. O nieko\u013eko sek\u00fand sa stroj pod\u013ea radarov\u00fdch hl\u00e1sen\u00ed rozpadol. Tesne pred rozpadom do\u0161lo k odtrhnutiu \u013eav\u00e9ho kr\u00eddla. V okamihu rozpadu sa Columbia nach\u00e1dzala vo v\u00fd\u0161ke 63 kilometrov a pohybovala sa r\u00fdchlos\u0165ou 5,5 km\/s. V trase raketopl\u00e1nu na\u010falej leteli u\u017e len \u017eerav\u00e9 trosky, ktor\u00e9 sa rozpt\u00fdlili a dopadli na \u00fazemie troch americk\u00fdch \u0161t\u00e1tov, najviac v\u0161ak na Texas. Okam\u017eite sa rozbehli z\u00e1chrann\u00e9 akcie. V z\u00e1zrak d\u00fafali Spojen\u00e9 \u0161t\u00e1ty, Izrael aj India (rodn\u00e1 krajina Kalpany Chawlaovej). Nikto zo sedem\u010dlennej pos\u00e1dky v\u0161ak nepre\u017eil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V USA zavl\u00e1dol sm\u00fatok. Tis\u00edce \u013eud\u00ed nosili kvety k miestam, kde sa na\u0161li trosky. Napriek tomu si v\u0161ak rodiny a priatelia astronautov \u017eelali, aby lety do vesm\u00edru pokra\u010dovali. \u201cChceme, aby vesm\u00edrne misie pokra\u010dovali. Nechceme, aby t\u00edto \u013eudia zomreli zbyto\u010dne,\u201d povedala matka astronauta Davida Browna. V Iraku v\u0161ak hav\u00e1riu pova\u017eovali za d\u00f4vod na rados\u0165: \u201cAllah chcel uk\u00e1za\u0165, \u017ee jeho moc je v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ia ne\u017e moc Ameri\u010danov. Plet\u00fa sa do z\u00e1le\u017eitost\u00ed na\u0161ej krajiny, ale Allah n\u00e1s mst\u00ed. \u201c Abdal D\u017eabbar Kuraj\u0161\u00ed, zamestnanec vl\u00e1dy Iraku.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NASA vydala varovanie, aby sa ob\u010dania nedot\u00fdkali n\u00e1jden\u00fdch trosiek. Mohli by by\u0165 toti\u017e toxick\u00e9, hlavne kv\u00f4li mo\u017en\u00e9mu obsahu paliva &#8211; hydraz\u00ednu, ktor\u00e9 je prudko jedovat\u00e9. Nieko\u013eko \u013eud\u00ed muselo vyh\u013eada\u0165 lek\u00e1rske o\u0161etrenie, na\u0161\u0165astie preva\u017ene z prevent\u00edvnych d\u00f4vodov. Niektor\u00ed Ameri\u010dania za\u010dali trosky zbiera\u0165, \u010di si ich u\u017e chceli necha\u0165 ako suven\u00edry, alebo ich preda\u0165. Na internetu sa objavila ponuka \u00falomkov, pri\u010dom auk\u010dn\u00e1 cena niektor\u00fdch z nich sa vy\u0161plhala na viac ne\u017e 30 000 dol\u00e1rov. Spolo\u010dnos\u0165 eBay v\u0161ak za\u010dala tak\u00e9to ponuky z internetu r\u00fdchlo s\u0165ahova\u0165. Americk\u00fd \u0161t\u00e1tny z\u00e1stupca pre ju\u017en\u00fd Texas Michael Shelby vyhl\u00e1sil, \u017ee ktoko\u013evek sa dotkne trosiek , bude \u010deli\u0165 tvrd\u00e9mu trestu.\u201c Trosky s\u00fa e\u0161te toti\u017e st\u00e1le feder\u00e1lnym majetkom. Miestami v\u0161ak nastal opa\u010dn\u00fd probl\u00e9m: Ob\u010dania nosili na pol\u00edciu predmety, ktor\u00e9 pova\u017eovali za trosky, pri\u010dom troskami v\u00f4bec neboli. Celkov\u00fd po\u010det vyzbieran\u00fdch \u00falomkov raketopl\u00e1nu je vy\u0161e 15 000.<\/p>\n<h2>Vy\u0161etrovanie<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Medzi hlavn\u00e9 mo\u017en\u00e9 pr\u00ed\u010diny hav\u00e1rie patrili teroristick\u00fd \u00fatok, po\u0161kodenie tepelnej ochrany (vo vesm\u00edre alebo v priebehu \u0161tartu \u010di prist\u00e1vania), zr\u00fatenie kon\u0161trukcie sp\u00f4soben\u00e9 \u00fanavou materi\u00e1lu, zlyhanie po\u010d\u00edta\u010da a v\u00fdbuch v motorovej sekcii. Teroristick\u00fd \u00fatok bol hne\u010f na za\u010diatku vyl\u00fa\u010den\u00fd ako technicky neuskuto\u010dnite\u013en\u00fd. N\u00e1raz k\u00faska izola\u010dnej peny alebo kusu \u013eadu NASA spo\u010diatku odmietala. Nesk\u00f4r sa v\u0161ak t\u00e1to pr\u00ed\u010dina uk\u00e1zala by\u0165 spr\u00e1vna. Po katastrofe bola zostaven\u00e1 vy\u0161etrovacia komisia CAIB (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=902\">Columbia Accident Investigation Board<\/a>), zn\u00e1ma tie\u017e ako Gehramova komisia. CAIB dospela k z\u00e1veru, \u017ee pr\u00ed\u010dinou ne\u0161\u0165astia bola po\u0161koden\u00e1 tepeln\u00e1 izol\u00e1cia na n\u00e1be\u017enej hrane \u013eav\u00e9ho kr\u00eddla. K tomuto po\u0161kodeniu do\u0161lo e\u0161te pri \u0161tarte. Sp\u00f4sobil ho ve\u013ek\u00fd kus penovej izol\u00e1cie, ktor\u00fd odpadol z n\u00e1dr\u017ee ET a dopadol na n\u00e1be\u017en\u00fa hranu kr\u00eddla, kde po\u0161kodil do\u0161ti\u010dky RCC. Miesto dopadu bolo naozaj ne\u0161\u0165astn\u00e9 &#8211; keby tento kus dopadol na in\u00e9 miesto, pravdepodobne by sa aj napriek po\u0161kodeniu podarilo Columbii bezpe\u010dne prist\u00e1\u0165. Na n\u00e1be\u017enej hrane kr\u00eddla je v\u0161ak teplota plazmy najvy\u0161\u0161ia a celistvos\u0165 do\u0161ti\u010diek RCC je pre bezpe\u010dn\u00e9 prist\u00e1tie nevyhnutn\u00e1. Vzniknutou trhlinou sa plazma dostala do kr\u00eddla, kde postupne prepa\u013eovala prep\u00e1\u017eky tvoriace jeho vn\u00fatorn\u00fa kon\u0161trukciu. Z\u00e1rove\u0148 aerodynamick\u00e9 sily strh\u00e1vali zo stroja \u010fal\u0161ie do\u0161ti\u010dky a \u00falomky. Tento proces pozorovalo nieko\u013eko svedkov. Nakoniec do\u0161lo k odtrhnutiu kr\u00eddla. Vtedy sa raketopl\u00e1n prudko oto\u010dil, v d\u00f4sledku \u010doho vypadlo spojenie (komunika\u010dn\u00e1 ant\u00e9na prestala smerova\u0165 na spojovaciu dru\u017eicu). V nasleduj\u00facich sekund\u00e1ch do\u0161lo k de\u0161trukcii cel\u00e9ho raketopl\u00e1nu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vy\u0161etrovacia komisia v z\u00e1vere\u010dnej spr\u00e1ve vydala celkove 29 doporu\u010den\u00ed pre vy\u0161\u0161iu bezpe\u010dnos\u0165 letu. NASA zareagovala r\u00fdchlo, u\u017e 8. 9. 2003 zverejnila prv\u00fd pl\u00e1n uskuto\u010d\u0148ovania opatren\u00ed pod\u013ea doporu\u010denia. \u010eal\u0161ie lety boli pozastaven\u00e9 na viac ako 2 roky. Raketopl\u00e1ny aj pozemsk\u00e9 zariadenia a person\u00e1l pre\u0161li cel\u00fdm radom \u00faprav, testov a zdokonalen\u00ed. Predov\u0161etk\u00fdm bola obmedzen\u00e1 mo\u017enos\u0165 odpad\u00e1vania \u010dast\u00edc z ET pri \u0161tarte.
