Je z\u00e1rove\u0148 tret\u00edm najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161\u00edm Galileiho mesiacom a zo v\u0161etk\u00fdch Galileiho mesiacov obieha najbli\u017e\u0161ie k <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=3943\">Jupiteru<\/a>. Nie je v\u0161ak najbli\u017e\u0161\u00edm mesiacom Jupitera \u2013 medzi n\u00edm a vrcholom Jupiterovej atmosf\u00e9ry kr\u00fa\u017eia e\u0161te \u010fal\u0161ie \u0161tyri mal\u00e9, nepravidelne tvarovan\u00e9 mesiace objaven\u00e9 ove\u013ea nesk\u00f4r. Pomenovanie dostal z gr\u00e9ckej mytol\u00f3gie pod\u013ea milenky boha Dia (v R\u00edmskej r\u00ed\u0161i Jupitera), podobne ako v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ina ostatn\u00fdch mesiacov Jupitera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Obe\u017en\u00e1 vzdialenos\u0165 Io, 421 600 km, je len o nie\u010do v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ia ako vzdialenos\u0165 Zeme a Mesiaca. Obeh okolo plan\u00e9ty a rovnako aj oto\u010dka okolo osi mu trvaj\u00fa 43 hod\u00edn \u2013 v\u00fdrazne menej ako <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=8512\">Mesiacu Zeme<\/a>, preto\u017ee Jupiter je <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=6020\">plan\u00e9ta<\/a> s omnoho vy\u0161\u0161ou gravit\u00e1ciou. Io je z\u00e1rove\u0148 v dr\u00e1hovej rezonancii 1:2 s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=7979\">mesiacom Eur\u00f3pa<\/a>. Na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he Io je zauj\u00edmav\u00e9 aj to, \u017ee le\u017e\u00ed bl\u00edzko radia\u010dn\u00e9ho p\u00e1su Jupitera. Zr\u00e1\u017eky \u010dast\u00edc magnetosf\u00e9ry s povrchom Io vyr\u00e1\u017eaj\u00fa z povrchu mesiaca neutr\u00e1lne at\u00f3my, ktor\u00e9 zostan\u00fa na obe\u017enej dr\u00e1he okolo Jupitera. Mno\u017estvo takto vymr\u0161ten\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu nabit\u00fdmi \u010dasticami radia\u010dn\u00e9ho p\u00e1su predstavuje a\u017e jednu tonu ka\u017ed\u00fa sekundu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M\u00e1 druh\u00fa najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161iu zn\u00e1mu hustotu mesiaca v slne\u010dnej s\u00fastave \u2013 3,53 g\/cm<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<h2>Povrch<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na jeho pevnom, skalnatom povrchu prevl\u00e1da ve\u013emi netypick\u00e1 farba \u2013 \u017elt\u00e1. Je sp\u00f4soben\u00e1 s\u00edrou a silik\u00e1tov\u00fdmi horninami. Miestami je povrch pokryt\u00fd bielym so\u013en\u00fdm n\u00e1nosom, preto je jeho odrazivos\u0165 ve\u013emi vysok\u00e1. Okolo sopiek s\u00fa aj \u010derstv\u00e9 \u010derven\u00e9 s\u00edrov\u00e9 usadeniny, ktor\u00e9 sa \u010dasom menia na \u017elt\u00e9. Mili\u00f3ny \u0161tvorcov\u00fdch kilometrov povrchu mesiaca pokr\u00fdvaj\u00fa r\u00f4zne star\u00e9 pr\u00fady kremi\u010ditej l\u00e1vy. Farba ur\u010duje ich vek \u2013 naj\u010derstvej\u0161ie s\u00fa \u010dierne, mlad\u0161ie bledn\u00fa do siva. Io je tie\u017e jedin\u00fd mesiac, na ktorom sa prakticky nenach\u00e1dzaj\u00fa impaktn\u00e9 kr\u00e1tery, preto\u017ee sopky povrch neust\u00e1le pretv\u00e1raj\u00fa. Aj za dev\u00e4tn\u00e1s\u0165 rokov, od preletu sond Voyager, ktor\u00e9 ako prv\u00e9 podrobnej\u0161ie zmapovali povrch mesiaca, a\u017e po z\u00e1bery zo sondy Galileo, sa na mesiaci objavilo mno\u017estvo zmien. Zn\u00e1mej\u0161\u00ed je v\u0161ak svojimi sopkami, o ktor\u00fdch pr\u00edtomnosti sved\u010dia rozsiahle l\u00e1vov\u00e9 polia. Je to prv\u00e9 teleso okrem Zeme, na ktorom bola objaven\u00e1 sope\u010dn\u00e1 aktivita. Objav bol ve\u013emi prekvapiv\u00fd. Pred preletom prv\u00fdch kozmick\u00fdch sond okolo Io sa usudzovalo, \u017ee bude oby\u010dajnou zamrznutou gu\u013eou a nie t\u00fdm, \u010d\u00edm je \u2013 sope\u010dne najakt\u00edvnej\u0161\u00edm telesom slne\u010dnej s\u00fastavy. Hoci teleso jeho rozmerov si nemohlo udr\u017ea\u0165 dostato\u010dn\u00e9 teplo na vulkanick\u00fa aktivitu od \u010dias svojho vzniku, bohato mu ju nahr\u00e1dzaj\u00fa slapov\u00e9 sily Jupitera, Eur\u00f3py a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=7791\">Ganymeda<\/a>. Tie vytv\u00e1raj\u00fa siln\u00e9 vn\u00fatorn\u00e9 trenie a tavia horniny. Zv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ovanie objemu taveniny trh\u00e1 povrch mesiaca v po\u010detn\u00fdch expl\u00f3zi\u00e1ch. Odhaduje sa, \u017ee vulkanick\u00e1 \u010dinnos\u0165 kompletne pretvor\u00ed cel\u00fd povrch mesiaca ka\u017ed\u00fdch mili\u00f3n rokov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Celkov\u00fd po\u010det akt\u00edvnych sopiek na Io je dnes zhruba 260. Vedci ich u\u017e nepozoruj\u00fa iba prostredn\u00edctvom (zriedkav\u00fdch) preletov kozmick\u00fdch sond, ale priamo, v\u010faka ich infra\u010derven\u00e9mu vy\u017earovaniu. Adapt\u00edvna optika \u010falekoh\u013eadov na vrcholoch pozemsk\u00fdch sopiek <em>Mauna Kea<\/em> \u010di <em>Roque e los Muchachos<\/em> je dnes tak\u00e1 v\u00fdkonn\u00e1 ako pr\u00edstroj na palube sondy Galileo vyslanej pred vy\u0161e tridsiatimi rokmi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Najakt\u00edvnej\u0161ia z t\u00fdchto sopiek je <em>Loki Patera<\/em>. V\u010faka ni\u017e\u0161ej gravit\u00e1cii maj\u00fa vulk\u00e1ny na Io ove\u013ea v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ie rozmery ako na\u0161e. Rekordn\u00e1 <em>Loki Patera<\/em> m\u00e1 priemer 200 km a v jej kr\u00e1teri sa ukr\u00fdva l\u00e1vov\u00e9 jazero s rozlohou takmer polovice rozlohy Slovenska. Sopka ka\u017edoro\u010dne vyvrhne najmenej 100 km<sup>3<\/sup> l\u00e1vy. Aj najmen\u0161\u00ed doteraz zn\u00e1my vulkanick\u00fd zdroj na Io predviedol tak\u00fa v\u00fdkonn\u00fa erupciu, \u017ee ju mo\u017eno porovna\u0165 s v\u00fdbuchom islandskej sopky Holuhraun v rokoch 2014 \u2013 2015. Sopka <em>Heno Patera<\/em> napr\u00edklad prekon\u00e1va v objeme vyvrhnutej l\u00e1vy a sope\u010dn\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu najzn\u00e1mej\u0161ie ned\u00e1vne erupcie pozemsk\u00fdch sopiek viac ne\u017e desa\u0165n\u00e1sobne. Tieto najsilnej\u0161ie erupcie pripom\u00ednaj\u00fa dnes u\u017e sa (na\u0161\u0165astie) nevyskytuj\u00face erupcie, o ktor\u00fdch minul\u00fdch priebehoch v\u0161ak m\u00e1me d\u00f4kazy na Zemi a \u010fal\u0161\u00edch plan\u00e9tach a tie\u017e na Mesiaci. Porozumen\u00edm mesiacu Io teda lep\u0161ie porozumieme aj vlastnej minulosti. Jazero v\u0161ak nezanik\u00e1. Ke\u010f je k\u00f4ra dostato\u010dne hrub\u00e1, vlastnou hmotnos\u0165ou sa ponor\u00ed do l\u00e1vy. Tam sa roztav\u00ed a takto sa jazero udr\u017eiava st\u00e1le akt\u00edvne.<\/p>\n<h2>Atmosf\u00e9ra<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mesiac m\u00e1 netypick\u00fa, riedku <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adhara.sk\/?page_id=6627\">atmosf\u00e9ru<\/a> s tlakom r\u00e1dovo iba 10<sup>-3<\/sup> Pa. Tvoria ju at\u00f3my a i\u00f3ny sod\u00edka, drasl\u00edka, s\u00edry a kysl\u00edka. V\u00e4\u010d\u0161ina \u010dast\u00edc poch\u00e1dza zo sope\u010dn\u00fdch erupci\u00ed, ostatn\u00e9 &#8222;vyhodili&#8220; z povrchu Io n\u00e1razy energetick\u00fdch prot\u00f3nov a elektr\u00f3nov nach\u00e1dzaj\u00facich sa v magnetosf\u00e9re Jupitera. Mesiac je obklopen\u00fd pretiahnut\u00fdm sod\u00edkov\u00fdm mra\u010dnom siahaj\u00facim a\u017e do vzdialenosti 200 000 km.<\/p>\n<h2>Prieskum sondami<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ani \u010doraz dokonalej\u0161ie pozemsk\u00e9 pr\u00edstroje v\u0161ak dobre nedovidia na p\u00f3ly Io. Sonda Juno preto pozoruje Io na ultrafialov\u00fdch, optick\u00fdch aj infra\u010derven\u00fdch vlnov\u00fdch d\u013a\u017ekach. V\u010faka t\u00fdm posledn\u00fdm mapuje toky tepla z povrchu mesiaca, aby sme tak porozumeli, ak\u00e1 je vn\u00fatorn\u00e1 stavba Io. Existuje nieko\u013eko modelov mo\u017en\u00e9ho vn\u00fatra mesiaca. Od oce\u00e1nu magmy, ak\u00fd m\u00e1me na Zemi, po magmu usporiadan\u00fa v \u0161trukt\u00fare podobnej \u0161pongii. Pod\u013ea meran\u00ed sondy Galileo je vn\u00fatri Io \u017eelezn\u00e9 jadro ve\u013ekosti asi polovice mesiaca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vznikol aj n\u00e1vrh misie kozmickej sondy, ktor\u00e1 by mesiac mapovala nepretr\u017eite a zodpovedala na ot\u00e1zku jeho vn\u00fatorn\u00e9ho zlo\u017eenia. T\u00e1to misia IVO (Io Volcano Observer) je v\u0161ak zatia\u013e len v \u0161t\u00e1diu pl\u00e1nov.
